Hi, I am just curious. Recently I have heard that women in the late thirties, or even earlier, can enter menopause. I am forty two and am not sure if I am starting to have it. Therefore, I was wondering if you can tell me if there is a difference in premenopause/menopause symptoms.
Hi, I can understand your concerns. It is true that women in late thirties can start menopause. The beginning of it, premenopause, can have a bit different symptoms from the ones experienced in menopause. However, they are very similar. Usually it is mood swings, difference in blood flow in period, headaches, hot flashes, depression, weight gain and a lot more. The thing that differ the two is, if you have not had a period for a year, then you are in menopause. Other wise, you are premenopausal. If you are experiencing some of the symptoms I have stated, you might want to pay a visit to the doctor. He is the only one that can make the diagnosis. Also, it would be best for you to do this for another reason. The doctor is the only one who can prescribe you some medicine that will diminish the symptoms.
