Hello, folks. I am planning to practice anything just to keep up with my body shape. I have a lot of energy in my body and I would like to use it. I would like to know whether yoga is better than pilates for beginners. What do you think? Thanks in advance. Bye!

Hello. I can’t say which one is better or worse. Those are different disciplines. Yoga is more than physical training. It also helps your mind be focused and concentrated. Yoga has its philosophy. If we look at only physical component, I can tell you that pilates is more about toning and yoga is more about stretching. Yoga uses upper parts of the body far more than pilates. You spend on all four extremities during half of the yoga class while on pilates it is only several minutes. It depends what you are looking for. Good luck.
