I have been having the same problem for the past 2 weeks. I was getting really worried, and done a search on google finding this. I’m glad to know that 'm not the only person experiencing is problem. At first I thought maybe I was allergic to a certain type of condom that I had never used. But when the itching got worse, and when it got very painful I started to worry. I also noticed a different odor, almost like that of onions I know this may sound weird but it does. I don’t know what to try because I’m afraid of making it worse.

It's terrible to hear that we're all having this problem, but I'm kinda glad it's not just me. Yeast infection suppositories seemed to help for a bit, but the problem came right back, and now it's driving me nuts!
Do you guys have sensitive skin in other areas of your body as well? My hands and face are really dry and sensitive, and I have allergies, so I thought maybe this was just one more problem with those.

To the guys talking about this after taking antibiotics, it's probably a bad dose of thrush. I had this myself after a course of antibiotics- my doctor warned me that the pill she was giving me (for something else!) was bad for causing women to develop thrush. Go back and request something to take for the thrush- over-the-counter stuff didn't help with mine but as soon as I took the treatment I was prescribed, the itching cleared up straight away. :-)

i usually use a tampon but at night i sometimes wear pads
i think i might be allergic to the blue thing that i think makes it oderless

Dear me, I am so thankful that I am oddly not the only one in the world with this horrible problem. I have had this awful and awkward irritant for just over two months. I honestly have no idea what is up with it! I noticed this the day after I had sex one night a couple months ago. I truthfully just thought it was because maybe I didn't use enough lubricant or something. But it persisted and you can't help but itch! It is insane. I can't even sit down without feeling uncomfortable.
It must be like thrush or some type of vaginal infection — which completely sucks. I'm going to try using some skin lotions and to NOT itch. Hopefully that might clear it up, or at least make it less uncomfortable. Fingers crossed. If not I'm doctoring in up.

i know what you guys are talking about...well i think i do. sometimes after i have sex its like really sore and red down there, but then after a few days it goes away. Well i havent had sex in a while and idk if its cuz i just shaved or what but now my libia majora is all red and itchy and it also is really dry. When i itch it and look at it the dry skin flakes off and then it hurts even more and is even more red! does this sound like what anyone else has??

anyways i thought the discharge is causing the peeling of the skin but idk really. After the peeling its like i have cuts on my vagina lips.
I started washing with seasalt afte everytime i urinate and it calmed it down. thank god for salt and water.

Wow you wash with sea salt? Doesn't that hurt you at all? I think that salt can be pretty harsh on your system and I'd like to hear what kind of effect it's had on you. I'd think it would case more peeling, not lesss. Have you seen a doctor about it?

I went to the doctor for a diagnosis and she said it was thrush! But it has come back now for the second time! I wish I knew what this was. I use canasten cream, it helps a little bit, but it comes back. I was also told it wasn't an STD because I had tests. I have a pimple kind of bump on the top of my vagina. It also hurts sometimes to walk and when i touch it, it hurts so much. Its like I have a cut on my vagina but I don't! I haven't had sex in weeks. Does anyone know if this is contagious like an STD??

Ugh. I'm 15.. 16 in April..and I have the same thing as you guys, and it's so embarrasing and horrible.. and like.. I can't go to the doctor, I can't afford it. It's so embarrasing that I can't tell my parent, so I'm really stuck. I really don't feel comfortable at ALL telling my parent because I know they'll try to ask to see or something.. and I just can't.. I don't have the money to try that savlon thing, and I don't want to tell any friends to ask for help. I'm really worried and scared. Atfirst it was just the red itchiness and I thought it was a phase, but then it never went away (about a month now or so?) and today I noticed soft peeling in the shower. It's really sore now too though.. I just don't know what to do. If you have any information that'd be useful, or helpful at all, Please, please respond. Thank you so much.

I was terrified it was an STD.
So i went and got checked,
im completely clear.

I had this problem as well. There was a patch of skin on my labia that turned red, started itching and flaking and developed tiny cuts from where I would scratch at the skin while it was itching. It was localized and didn't spread so I knew it wasn't a rash. I went to one ob gyn and she had no idea what it was, but I finally got ahold of someone competent and she told me it was a patch of eczema. Made sense. She also prescribed for me something called desoximetasone ointment that has totally healed this thing in less than a week. It's about thirty dollars for a 15 gram tube and it has to be prescribed for you by a doctor, but this stuff WORKS and it works fast!
