SOLUTION FOUND!

After dealing with this for about 2 years, varying from mild to severe, and trying everything, I was able to completely resolve this.

This is difficult to believe, but I found that if I CONSISTENTLY got a good amount of sleep, EVERY NIGHT, and not "just enough" sleep to keep me awake during the day, my skin cleared up completely!

And this was not so easy because there's so much to do it's hard to get to bed early enough.

When I can't all asleep within a resaonable amount of time I might use melatonin. On days when for whatever reason I wasn't able to get to full night's sleep, I might take Passion Flower Extract or SAMe to be sure I am relaxed and don't get stressed from lack of sleep.

I had the same symptoms as you 4 years ago. It started out of nowhere. After trying all sorts of antihistamines and seen many doctors (including dermatologists, Chinese doctors etc) no one could cure this. One day someone asked me to change my skincare to organic skincare products. I did and the symptoms improved a lot dramatically. I then threw away all my make up and bought organic make up only. I also take vitamins for skin and antioxidants. I am happy to say for 2 years now my face has not had a flare up and my skin is now even better than 5 years ago. I am not sure whether it will work for you but worth a try.

I have had a similar story to yours. I developed red bumps on my eyelids, under my eyes, and around my nose. Most mornings I was waking up with swollen eyes and looked terrible. I have always had sensitive skin so have never used harsh products. I have used Clinique dramatically different lotion for years. I, too, went to an allergist and dermatologist. Essentially they could not get to the bottom of it. I started using only cetaphil abs dove soap on my face with ceraVe lotion. My face got better so one day I decided I needed more moisture and started using Clinique lotion again. To my surprise I woke up with swollen bumpy eyelids and face!! Sooooo no more Clinique for me. Hope your problem is solved by now.

You know, this odd thing happened to me where I had rashes all over my body. From scalp to soles of my feet. Couldn't figure out what it was until one day I realized my Google 1 cellphone turned my skin red. Turned off the phone and my body stopped feeling like 1000 ants were crawling all over it. I changed phones and nothing's happened since.

It's due to a hormone imbalance most likely. You need to go on the pill to stop the imbalance or get on hrt. Also reduce sugar intake to help insulin levels lower....see insulin resistance x

I've got exactly the same symptoms. Prednisone fixed it and then once I reduced the amount and came off the symptoms returned. Dermotologist patch testing was inconclusive.

Did you find a solution?

Hi how are you getting on now? I keep getting problems well its like an allergic reaction once it starts i cant stop it. My eyelids get red upper and then lower and it goes to about 1.5 inches down from my lower lids, like a circle around my eyes. they are very red and cant stand anyting in them. cant use eye drops or anything at this stage. they then swell, and really swell, totally puffy and swollen I look like a monster at this stage. they then go down but takes days all of this but once it start you cant stop it. then it ends up with losing some skin, this time at corners down to deep layers totally stinging all the time and pain. and then upper eyelid this time skin in one area went and got infected. and then lower eye lid a bit too. other times its like i have got to this stage and been burnt ,as it all goes hard and still my eyelids and underneath like new skin and the upper skin takes days but then comes off but its deep in thick layer not thin, not like flaky skin. so this started 2 years ago. I take allergy tablets anyway as have uticaria. If not an allergy what can it be?

I had the same rash all over my body for over eight years. I was patch tested four times, saw over a dozen docs, prednisone did nothing, steroid creams made it burn and flare even worse. I finally saw a naturopath. He said my body was attacking itself via the skin rash. The prolonged stress had also caused food sensitivities. We removed dairy, sugar, yeast and gluten from my diet....yes, it was tough eating only meat, veges, fruits and nuts, but so worth it. We also added digestive enzymes, magnesium, adrenal support and stress support herbs. I increased my sleep and did everything I could to minimize stress. Slowly over two years my skin cleared, my energy returned and I am healthier than ever before.

I tried eliminating gluten. Was suggested this by doctor.... Rash around my eyes still remain.

Do you find that stress, even unsuspected brings the swelling on?

Sounds like it may have been a type of fungal infection as the apple cider vinegar was effective. Thanks for sharing this valuable information. :-)

I'm wondering if others on this thread may be reacting to any recent or past dental work... I noticed my issues seemed to start after having resin composite fillings done.

Google, "Release and toxicity of dental resin composite".

This 2012 study states, "Some components of restorative composite resins are released in the oral environment initially during polymerization reaction and later due to degradation of the material. In vitro and in vivo studies have clearly identified that these components of restorative composite resins are toxic... Leachable components are released due to degradation or erosion over time."
