I had been bleeding heavy with clots for 3 months sometimes it looked like it was about to stop and then all of a sudden it would start heavy again. I went online almost everyday trying to get answers as to what could possibly be causing my heavy non stop bleeding . I tried everything from teas to ibuprofen to birth control pills to organic apple cider in water and nothing was stopping it, Until long behold I came across a posting where someone mentioned to take Iron pills followed by a post saying she had tried it after months of bleeding and was so grateful to person who had mentioned it. I immediately went off to Walgreens and ended up buying a drinkable Iron supplement name S.S.S tonic I took it as directed 1 table spoon 3 times a day after each meal and after the 1st one I took that day I noticed my period decrease after the 2nd day bleeding completely stopped.
The bleeding is very very heavy to the point of using a large box of super plus tampons in 48 hours n has lasted exactly 67 days
I am 40, had a tubal when I was 23. I was 2 weeks late in April. Began spotting for 16 days enough just to see when wipping. Had a huge gush with clotting on day 17. Started bleeding enough to have 2 to 3 tampoons a day. Have had 2 more huge gushes with palm of hand sized clots. Now, I am about 7 ultra tampons a day. I am now on day 52 of bleeding in some way. No cramping tho. Which is weird because I usually have curl n a ball cramps with my periods. I have an appointment Thursday. I hope they figure this out. The new unknown worries me.

What can I do I really don't know what to do, I had no bleeding for 8 weeks went on the depo in feb March 1st I started spotting (which was mostly annoying than anything else) then 16th March it was like a proper period heavy and clots, and cramping for a week, then about 23rd spotting again until 31st March had a day with no bleeding yesterday (whoopie) then today I have started up again and cramps, I am getting other things wrong with me as because I'm constantly bleeding I'm ran down (the healthcare professionals themselves have said that I am ran down) but they just keep saying keep with it persevere until May 17th when you have the next one, they are not even given me a blood test to see if I am anemic as loosing blood nor are they going to test me meanwhile I'm sick of wearing a towel almost everyday well everyday, being tired and feeling like this nor are testing me for other things. I can't even have the tablet to stop the bleeding as it goes against my other tablet. I am at my wits end and feel like crying. Someone please help me my drs receptionist says that to have a blood test I have to have something in writing from the dr which I have not got.

I have had this problem and followed up with doctors. Everything was fine. They did say I could get a hysterectomy due to other symptoms I had with it. I didn't like this idea. I went on a very restrictive calorie diet which reduced my sugar/ carbs and I cut out milk due to a sensitivity and this stopped all the symptoms. I am not sure the exact trigger but now that my eating pattern is normal it is back.
