just found out i'm pregnant this morning. missed my period this week so i took test at home and both came out positive. scared out of my mind because i haven't seen an endocrinology yet and don't have an appointment till the 26th. i read online the consequences if your not on thyroid medication when pregnant so i'm a little panicked here. my doctor who isn't an endocrinologist did say that my thyroid wasn't too bad but i am in that borderline but i should still see an endocrinology doctor for a 2nd opinion. anyone got pregnant before they went on hypothyroid medication? if so how did the pregnancy go? i'm a little lost here since i don't really 100% understand anything about hypothyroidism and pregnancy even w/ all the google searches. called the endocrinology hoping to get an earlier appointment (although they already said they're booked and it's the only date open) or hoping to get speak to the endocrinology doctor asap but impatient and worried out of my mind right now so that's why i'm here online hoping for some info and answers while i wait for the endocrinology nurse to contact me. (called yesterday and answering service told me to leave my number and that nurse would call me back but no call back yet.)
