Hello. I'm 34 year old male and I would like to hear more about the possible causes of my problem. About month ago I have noticed that I have some small bumps in the back of my mouth.
There were at first small and whitish but with time they have grown becoming larger and making my breathing more difficult.
I don’t know what to do about all this.
I haven’t told anyone about this because I'm afraid. I'm afraid also what could doctor found out. Please tell me that I don’t have reasons to be worried.
I would really like to say that you have nothing to be worried about but this wouldn’t be truth.
Any lump of unusual formation in mouth should be reported to doctor. You didn’t tell anything about exact localization of these bumps. Bumps on the side of tongue or on buccal wall could be caused by chronic rubbing on irregular edges of teeth. Lumps localized deeper in throat could be swollen lymph nodes and could be mouth cancer.
There are various ways of treating cancer depending on where it is, what type and so on. Contact your GP immediately because early diagnosis is half of successful treatment.
