When I have my period, I pass many large clots. Towards the end of my period, I pass some very large ones, which looks like tissue discharge followed by a spurt of bright red blood. A friend of mine, a nurse, said this means I have bleeders. What is a bleeder, and how serious is it? We did a home pregnancy test and it came out negative. What could be the reason?
What your friend is referring to is that the blood clot may be covering up an artery, which may be breaking open and bleeding a lot. You might want to talk to doctor about the way you are bleeding. It sounds to me that you should be checked for anemia, if not some sort of bleeding disorder. The only way to know for sure if you are pregnant is to be checked by your doctor. For number of reasons, including the stress of thinking you might have an unwanted pregnancy, could provoke this. I never heard that someone has large tissue discharge like this.
