Just had leep procedure today. In office. Once doctor administered epinephrine my heart thumped and raced like I had never felt before but wasreassured by doctor and prepared for this side effect. What I hadn't researched before hand or warned by attending physician was the immediate and excruciating throbbing headaches during and now 8 hours later. Doctor seemed concerned. I asked them if this was normal. No one seemed to answer the question. Apparently light headed or faint.  The pain in my head was frightening to the point of tears and I could actually also feel my kidneys throbbing. No idea about how the procedure felt as other parts of my body felt like they were exploding.  Do it under light general anesthesia. This 'awake' surgery is barbaric. Too many variables and there is no way that epinephrine in that dosage can possibly be good for our bodies. Never will I do this procedure with epinephrine again.

I too just had the leep procedure done today may5,2015 and it was scary, but the worst part was when they numb you and your heart start racing followed by a very bad headache that lasted for about 10 minutes if your headache is still there after 8 hours then u should go to the emergency room, hope all turns out good for uou, please keep me updated

As soon as the dr put the numbing needle into my cervix I had a weird sensation going up my spine until it reached my head and then I instantly had a severe headache at the back of my head and they stopped, gave me painkillers and sent me home. I later rescheduled and had it done and the next dr when doing it I don't think she used epinephrine in it, it was successful but I wouldn't stop bleeding she applied a bunch of liquid bandaid and I had to wait and she said if that didn't work they would have to put me to sleep and stitch me up :/ luckily the liquid bandaid worked
