I have just been diagnosed with low thyroid. I am taking levoxyl and have to have a blood test this week to determine if this is the proper dosage. I am also on paxil for stress disorder and on vitamins that I take on my own, C, E, B, a multi, and calcium. I am incredibly tired, I sleep at least two hours more per day than I used to. Anyone have this condition?
I was diagnosed with the thyroid disease about 7 years ago. I had a sever crash when I finally got to the doctors office. He was found that my thyroid had completely shut off. At first the meds worked fine I never had to take anything, just keeping a god healthy life style was enough.
Now, 7 years later, I am on the highest dose possible and it is not working the way it should. I am taking Levoxyl. The doctor’s plan is to take my thyroid out, but I will still have to take the meds.
