Lexapro and sweating

I have been searching for any information on Lexapro. What I am concerned about is the night sweats I am having. I am taking 20mg, for 6 months and I experience night sweats every night. Last night I got up and realized my t-shirt was drenched. I usually just go back to sleep, but last night scared me. If anyone else experiences this from Lexapro please let me know. I am just about to lose all faith in anti-anxiety. I mean lexapro might be doing me more harm than good.

I have been on lexapro about 3 months and I'm also having terrible night sweats. My legs are soaked as well as my chest....my sheets are drenched and have to be changed daily. This is not good at all. I would rather have anxiety than deal w this.

I just found this thread i have been taking lexapro for about a year and notice this summer that i sweat like crazy with very little physical activity (at work while walking during lunch). Funny thing is i'm very active and have been jogging about 20 miles for like 5 years and in pretty good health. Never was big "sweater". must be the lexapro

Hey. I take escitalopram 20mg a day. I get the most severe night sweats. My skin is actually breaking down due to laying in the sweat overnight. I am having to come off the medication and try more holistic approaches to manage my anxiety. My GP recommended I take up mindfulness meditation and come off the antidepressant. Hope you get it sorted. Peace :)

I started 10mg and then my doctor took me up to 20mg of Lexapro a day. Every since I started the higher does I've had hot flashes during the day and night sweats at night. That's the only bad side effect I've had but it almost enough for me to try another antidepressant.
I'm hot all day too. Started with the lexapro. Makes me feel as if I have a high fever, but it's normal temp.
I have never sweat so bad at night in my entire life since I started taking Lexapro 20mg once a day, always in the evening. My husband can't even cuddle with me because I am literally soaking wet from my neck down. I have chills and think I am getting sick or something must be terribly wrong with me.. I am so glad I know other people have had the same experience. I don't feel crazy.
I have been on Lexapro for about 6 months. I take 10 mg. At first it was making me so fatigued and queasy all the time I thought I was pregnant! My doc told me to start taking the meds at night instead which actually helps me fall asleep faster. But the first few weeks were rough. One night I slept 14 hours straight...and did not feel refreshed at all. I don't get queasy anymore and if I do get sleepy I don't notice since I take it so late. However, the night sweats...oh boy. At first I thought it was our tempurpedic mattress which I read can cause night sweats- but I didn't remember having them when we first got it. It must be the Lexapro because I have them in other places/beds too. My clothes are so drenched in the night that once or twice I actually wondered if I had wet the bed. My shirt is plastered to my chest and my pants get completely drenched as well. However- I still think that it's a small price to pay for having my life back. The positive changes are worth it to me.
Omg! Right!? Everyone on this thread probably thought the same thing! I was freaked out. I feel better now that I saw this!
I have had the same exact side effects as everyone else-waking up sweating, dizzy, confused, and drenched. If I get up because I am hot I am suddenly chilled. The only thing that comforts me is taking a warm bath. Then, I have to lay my head slightly forward. At first I thought it was my birth control pills but I switched that to my old medicine and have been having the same exact effects. The only thing I can think of is that my dosage is too high. I went to a walk-in clinic to get a refill and the Lexapro I was given is generic and 20 mg. Now I am wondering if I am supposed to be on a lower mg. My doctor told me to cut my pill in half so I am trying that. I am crossing my fingers that tonight is better. I will let everyone know if that helps.
I take 30 MG of lexapro and sweat all the time. I don't know if it's the meds or something else but I sweat alot any given time of day
I've been on only 10mg of lexapro for about 3 maybe 4 months. I have ridiculous sweating problems now. I've been on effexor in the past with the same problem. Granted I have a twin brother who has been on effexor in the past also, with the same sweating problem. He works at a golf course and he had the chance to bring in family in and we can play golf all day. Now we're built just about the same way except I'm just a tad bit heavier because of the seroquel bullshit they would push on me constantly. Now it's only about a 10 pound difference. I can only play maybe 6 holes before I had to give up. I was sweating so bad my shirt was literally dripping wet with sweat. I couldn't continue playing because it wiped me out. Everyone noticed how bad I was wet and didn't believe it was all sweat, but I assure you it was ALL sweat. That's when I told everyone playing with us, that's why when you walk into my place, you'll see me sitting in front of my air conditioner because I can't handle any kind of heat anymore. Before this lexapro bullshit did this, I was the type of guy who would always say the hotter the better because I love the summer. And now, honestly, lexapro took that completely away from me. I can't stand the heat anymore. That's my lexapro experience. I'm just glad to know that I'm not crazier than I thought. People think I'm just lazy and don't like to come out of the house. Seriously that IS NOT THE CASE! Thanks to the all mighty lexapro, that my quack of a Dr told me was so good and one of the best ones on the market, now I'm not only still bigtime depressed, I'm also avoiding outside altogether.
I'm so sorry, what about Wellbutrin?
I take 15 mg and I wake 3/4 times a night uncomfortable from sweating
