For a while now I have had a lightheaded feeling ater laughing hard. I was wondering is this normal? Or should I see what's wrong?

Healthcare provider here: This answer is not correct. A-fib can cause lightheadedness, but is not associated with a vagal response from laughing.
Atrial fibrillation??? Shut ur ass up with a good cork.. u ve a verbal diarrhoea
No it's not atrial fibrillation. When we laughed hard the blood supply slows down, causing us to faint. Atrial Fibrillation is a serious condition and need immediate medical attention
Vasovagal syncope (vay-zoh-VAY-gul SING-kuh-pee) occurs when you faint because your body overreacts to certain triggers, such as the sight of blood or extreme emotional distress. It may also be called neurocardiogenic syncope. The vasovagal syncope trigger causes your heart rate and blood pressure to drop
I had it since I was a kid?
Many thanks for informative response. I've been having palpitations. Tests showed I have a thyroid problem never taken BP meds as my bp is normal everytime I check
I am only 32 but I get this all the time. It scares me that it happens so fast I almost don't react fast enough to keep from collapsing where I stand. I laugh a lot so this is a constant issue with me.
When I laugh hard I feel so strange. I get real dizzy feeling Nd feel like I'm going to pass out. I also have thyroid problems.
congrats!!!! Hope you haven't gone back to smoking or drinking any kind of soft drink. Sorry, you have or had experienced tunnel and spots trouble with your vision. Hope all is better now. Unfortunately some eye troubles are unreversible.
Its because you're body is used to a higher bp so when laugh real hard and increase pressure in the chest it compresses the vagas nerve which causes the heart rate to slow down the blood vessels to dilate and bp to drop that sudden drop is too much for the brain to handle so it shuts down for a second
Was it in your pituitary or pressing on it?
This happened to me quite a few time so I casually mentioned it to my cardiologist, he immediately said it's Laughing Syncope, I cut off blood to my brain. I later learned it is similar to Vasovagal Syncope from a sensitive cranial brain nerve called Vagus Nerve which serves 2 functions. Hope this helps everyone. My case is it happens only when I laugh hard and long.
