Yes. This is why I'm in here, but now I'm feeling normal.
Just imagine our power, we can been for 30 days but we won't die.

This is happening to me. Did anyone ever find an answer? There is no pain and I had the placement checked with a full pap and they said all was fine. But this almost constant bleeding is REALLY annoying..

I have the same symptoms as you!! Been a year now that I had the Mirena coil fitted due to my heavy periods but I still get two weeks of period more or less light every month? Should I just wait more then instead of taking it out? x

I have the same problem with mine lasting a lot longer than it used to from 3 days too almost 10 days sometimes depending on how heavy my flow is at the beginning because sometimes The spotting takes too long to end when I think my periods over . I have had mirena iud for a year and 7months and still have mine which I thought it would begin to shorten my period or stop it but that's not the case . This is my experience with it but I hope this helps someone out I know every body is different

I have had my Mirena in for just over a year and my periods have been sporadic but my latest one is going on week 3. My husband mentioned that last time we had intercourse that he thought he could feel it? It has definitely decreased my libido too. I'm thinking a trip to the doctor is in order in case it shifted.

I was on Mirena for 18 months and decided to get it removed because my cycle got shorter and shorter the longer I was on it. I went from having a 26 day cycle to a 19 day cycle. Having a period every 19 days was no bueno, so I got it taken out. I experienced a decreased libido and extreme mood swings while on it. I felt much better once I got it taken out.

Your experience with Mirena sounds very similar to mine. My IUD was also extremely painful to have put in. Although I have not yet experienced childbirth I cannot imagine how it could be more painful than that. I screamed so loud that I would be surprised if no one in the building attached to the clinic heard me. I am having periods lasting for 2 weeks and sometimes longer. The extreme cramping that I experienced before having gotten Mirena has stopped but the IUD seems to have shifted the way menstruation happens for me entirely: longer heavier periods, cramping in the lower back that I have never had before, moodiness prior to and during menstruation, sweet cravings, etc.

How long have you had your IUD in for? I've had mine for a year and my first breakthrough bleeding lasted 2 months then my period evened out but it was still abnormal. I'm experiencing lengthy periods now as well but they're very light. In March, I had my period for two weeks. Then in April I had mine for 4 weeks (April 22-May 14). Then a few weeks went by and I got my period for only a week and I thought everything went back to normal but then a week later I got it again and it lasted for 2 weeks. i'm beginning to get worried. I'm seeing my gynecologist next week. But I wanna know if people are experiencing similar issues after having had it for a year like me.

Have you gone to the gynecologist and figured out what the cause for this is? I'm going next week because I've been experiencing similar issues. My periods are very long but super light. But I'm desperate for answers.

I'm 17. Very light and irregular bleeding all of my life, always dark, old blood. My periods normally last 1-2 days of "real" blood then just enough for 1 panty liner a day for the next 2 days. I had light spotting for 2 days after having Mirena put in on the 10th of August. But about a week after having the IUC put in I started my period. It has been 9 days now, of constant and (for me) very heavy and fresh blood. I am getting somewhat headache-y and dizzy now and am scared. My healthcare provider did not seem concerned but I don't like how much blood I am losing on a CONSTANT basis. Wondering if this is normal? Should I be worried about my iron levels? I expected spotting but not a huge increase in blood!!

I got diagnosed with pcos too but because I started to have irregular periods. I would go 3 months at a time without having my period. I got the mirena put in almost a month ago and recently go my period and it's lasting way longer than 3 days. Although it is avery light period I'm getting annoyed by it. I was wondering if yours has stopped already? Also I haven't had any crazy cravings probably since I been working out every day because the doctor said I had to lose weight. They said they my 60lbs weight gain over a year is what made the pcos flare up. Also I had lots of acne but no unwanted facial hair for the acne they prescribed antibiotics doxycycline which has worked wonders in less than a month! My face is all clear. May I ask what your symptoms were?
