I have had the Mirena for 7 months. Loooong periods (10 or 11 days), sometimes light and sometimes heavy. No rhyme or reason. I am getting sick of bleeding half the month. I am getting sick of pantiliners. I miss my three-day period while on the pill. I want to hang in for a year but just not sure that will make a difference.

I've had my period for 3 weeks now and it's light flow but mostly brown. I'm on my 3rd month with the mirena IUD I'm considering getting it removed and just taking normal birth control pills. Did you get it taken off please advise .

After years of heavy bleeding since I had my last son who is now 4 I have had heavy periods where sometimes the bleeding was so bad that I had to stay home from work and sleep in a lazy boy for the week and then I met with my doctor who recommended a Hysterectomy but then meeting with a Gynecologist who suggested trying the Mirena first so on September 8th I got the Mirena put in and a week later i got my period but have still had bleeding everyday since the 8th of September and there has only been 1 full week of no blood which was in October then the bleeding started again and heavy too, Im so over the bleeding and feeling tired and yuk with headaches so I will be going back to my doctor and opting for the hysterectomy as I cannot have any more children and just want the bleeding to stop

I have mine put in 3 weeks ago (tomorrow) it was the most painful thing ever, I even started sweating. I got my period last Saturday and still have it ugh, is light but I hate it since my period used to be the best, 3 days from beginning to end. I'm so tired of it. And yes, so much of the damn Sweet cravings

I received my period on February 6 2016 and it has not let up yet and I am tired of this. I have other problems going on and I don't have time for this. I talked with the doctor and he says just give it some time well almost 3 weeks later. If he had of told me my period would be on so long I would have never gotten the mirena. I have had the Mrena for just over 2 years. The first 6 months were full of random spotting and the last 1.5 years have been period less. I was ecstatic. However for the last month I have had a period and cramping. I had an US to see if three IUD was in place and it is fine. So are my ovaries. I am waiting for the pap results. I have had my IUD in fit almost 4 years. My peeps used to last between 3-5 days, I had my daughter, got my IUD & I have not had a normal period since, sometimes they last as long as 2 weeks, currently I have been on mine, well it will be a month on Friday. On top of this, I have a child or horrible allergies that I am feeling weak as ever

I got my mirena put in on the second day of my period and my period ended that same night. My doctor was amazing and great... insertion of mirena was not painful at all as I was afraid of getting the mirena after reading so many scary reviews. But I guess it depends on the doctor you get. But then again...I did take an ibuprofen before the procedure which probably helped a lot. After one week of no period, my period cMe back... very light red bleeding. Beengoing on for about 7 days but no cramps or pIn.

OMG!! that is totally me!! I HATE constantly being on my period (however light it may be) and I find that there is an odor to it and that's quite embarrassing. My intimacy with my spouse is truly becoming a problem! I do not experience the sweet cravings but I have gained a few pounds. Totally dislike having to wear and carry panty liners 3 weeks out of the month. (In Sept it will be a year that I have had this torturous device that I am seriously considering removing if things do not lighten up after the completed ONE year)
