I've had my mirena for almost a year now (10 months) and my periods still suck. I bleed anywhere from 7-14 days and I have all the symptoms I had before, but the bleeding is just like spotting. I've always had moderate-severe cramps and I get them around four days before my period even starts.

Yes. I absolutely hate the extended periods! My period before mirena was 7-8 days. Now, they are at least 3wks long. I can't take it.

Your post helped me a lot. I am now 11 months post insertion and having a 2 weekly period which lasts 15 days! I hope this settles otherwise I will have to get the removal which I really don't want to do. :*(

So I just had my baby in July of 2020 I got the mirana at my 6 week check up periods were on and off for about 3 month and by off I mean maybe a day or two will pass no blood

Hi, im going through the same as you are right now? i got mine on may 11th of 2022. im off, on then off, then full on again. im just gonna let it ride till my body settles with it. hopefully im one of the lucky ones and it goes away. it seems like a common theme with the mirena.
