Perhaps you should consider why you are so defensive about your missing something that many of us still happily retain. Speaking for myself, there are few, if any issues of cleanliness or health, and most females who have encountered it are quite curious and engaged by it.
Most of Mark's shower mates were circumcised. I was circumcised before coming from the hospital, but was a little fuzzy on the issue, and thought I wasn't. There were two reasons for this. An Irish-born teacher said he couldn't see how a circumcised penis could function. Today, I think he, like me, was circumcised but didn't know it. And I would look at my own penis and think it was so fine and natural looking and capable of doing that other job, how could someone have cut something off if it? I figured the gland was that foreskin that would be cut off during a circumcision, and that would undercut it's ability to function. Made enough sense, until I saw well focused photos of uncircumcised penises. Now that I've explained my perspective as a 14 year old, I don't remember seeing an uncircumcised penis in the locker room. It could be because I thought it wasn't a good idea to risk being noticed taking a good look at other guy's penises when I wasn't putting mine out there for anyone else to see, but it cold be that "everyone" in my ethnic group (white, including Mexicans) in Southern California had their boys circumcised before bringing him home from the hospital.
One more thing about that second line; I hope no Gay activist would take advantage of the naivete of an early teen boy, and add the line, "There's no sense in fighting it. You're gay."
About that last line; My reaction to her input is, "Did you put all those double and triple letters in there for our entertainment? In the future, don't! It's too much work to decipher what you were trying to say. And as I've said more than once before, you're sending it into the adult world, if it was a mistake, give it a read before you hit 'Reply'. I just read this and it's 10 times as long as your submission."
This is an extension to my reply two pieces up from here (something I forgot before hitting "Reply")
I'm wondering how old Cameron is (or was, since his reply showed up 13 years ago). He was polite enough, so I don't think he was all that young, but an older guy would have thought, "I did (or didn't) do this myself. It was a common enough practice and most of the guys who had partaken in it went on to have normal family lives, so it was just an inexperienced boy curiosity thing more than a gay thing."
I would be curious about how Cameron would react to boys (I assume) who have written in here and said that oral and anal sex are or were a routine part of sex play between them and their friends. I'm thinking this has got to be part of the internet age where a boy just has to check the boy saying "I'm over 18", and he has access to hardcore porn where oral and anal sex are just 2 of the options for couples who are sexually active.
Half a century ago, we had heard of "blowjobs" but thought it was for weirdos. Most of us would have thought, "Put some guy's penis in my mouth? You pee through that! My hand is one thing, but I'm not putting that filthy thing in my mouth!" All we needed was for some joker to empty a full bladder into our mouth-absolute humiliation! And on the hazards of the other side of the act, "There's a full set of teeth in his mouth! Do I want to give some joker a chance to see if he can bite my penis clean off? No way!" Anal sex was considered to be something that only the most hard-core gay weirdos would do. When the AIDS stuff came along, we found that anal sex was more common in the gay community than we thought, but then, "anal sex equals greater risk of contracting AIDS and that equals death." But even before that, anal sex meant the practicer was at a very high risk of introducing the micro-organisms that live and are just fine in the rectum, but will raise hell in the urinary/reproductive systems. It would have been very rare for a boy who was into sex-play with his friends to try oral or anal, and if I had a son today, I would advise against both, but particularly anal.
