Me to. There's not alot of information out there for girls who are losing weight and wondering if it's from the implanon. IT IS POSSIBLE. I am getting mine removed today.
I'm sick of the on and off acne, NO period for more than a year, horrible pains and knots in my back due to no period, crazy mood swings and the personality change.
I suggest don't get the bar ladies. The only thing good about having a metal foreign object in your arm, is to prevent a baby - and there's tonnes of alternatives.
I'm 18 & weigh 45kg, I can't wait to get the bar out and have my old body back.

i have had mine in for nearly 7 months now im constanly on my period i have lost weight im haveing really bad headaches where iam sick im on tablets for them i cant wait to have it out and be back to normal again
You can remove it anytime and switch to something else!!!!
Hae ladies it's true it reacts differently since our bodies are not the same...i just had mine removed one day ago have really lost my weight.
I went from 175 to 250 as well 175 was a great weight for me but 250 is over the top excessive implanon sucks other than no period
When I got my first Implanon I noticed weight loss and after 2 years with it I went from 220 lbs to 135. I also didn't have my period for a year and a half. I'm on my 3rd Implanon now.
How much weight did you lose I just got it and I'm scared to gain cause I'm already 157
I am 16, In September last year I had the Implanon rod inserted, and it did exactly what it was supposed to do - stopped periods, etc. However, I have gained an insane amount of weight (25 - 30 kg) I was a size 10-12 last year, and now I borderline 14-16. I exercised three times a week, two intense hour long cardio work outs with a personal trainer and 30 minute walk/jog with a dog, I had barely changed my diet, i ate like i had for years - like any teenager, I ate unhealthy from time to time - and yet, despite all efforts, lost no weight, instead; gained weight. It's over a year later, I am getting it taken out. It may work for some people but the side effects are not worth it for me personally.

Hi, I have now been on the implant for about 3 months now and I have never felt so bad about myself than I do now. I have gained 15 pounds already (went from 113-128) and I am always crying. I feel very depressed and ever since I got it in, things with my boyfriend and I have gone downhill. I feel like I am always hungry. I started eating healthier and working out but nothing seems to be working. I think I want to get it removed. This bc is very effective but I'm not sure if it's worth it.
I got mines on june 10th 2012. At that time i was 145 pounds, i lost alot of weights after that. Im trying to gain my weight back because i want to fit back into my clothes, im 22 now and look 16. Eight now i am 118 pounds. I am ready to remove it and start my weight gaing over.
I did the implant for a month now but am losing weight can it be that?
I know the feeling .. I always feel tried depressed gaining weight that I don't like at all. Dizziness. Hot flashes. Sometimes constipated. I feel like taking this out already but I don't wanna have a baby yet .. Idk wut else to do
Never been in birth control before i have for a year after giving birth of my son within that year i gained 35 pounds. I will not suggest any one to take it i never have my period make me naseau cripping alway hungry. I still have just bc i dont the money to remove it
It's the bc. I am 34, weigh 108lbs before the implant. In a year I've gain so much weight; everyone kept telling me I'm getting older but I know my body (weights always been less than 115 lbs) and I know it's the implant. Planning on getting it remove soon.
