I don't know how but I lost few pounds but now I have given up and decided to remove it after seven month of struggle with appetite and such things.
I'm going on my third year on having the implant; will be 3 years at the end of the month. A week or so ago I spotted a tiny bit for the first time since getting the implant, and my breasts have been really tender for some reason since then. Over this last summer I put on some weight which I fully attributed to 'letting myself go' a little bit while traveling, and I have been trying to lose that weight ever since I left. I spent the last 3 months (also abroad) literally exercising 6 days a week and eating healthy 6 days a week also, drinking 1-3 times a week but not so much as it would negate all 6 workouts... but since not much (if any) weight came off, I thought maybe it was the drinking or the one day a week I ate unhealthy. In the past 2 weeks I have kicked into overdrive dieting a lot more and exercising sometimes twice a day, and STILL my weight is not coming off!!! It's so frustrating and makes me feel awful. I didn't really think it could be the BC until now. I'm not sure what to do. Did anyone else experience more of a change going into their third year on this?
I'm no doctor, but I think it depends on your body. I personally gained a lot of weight on bc pills, was always bloated and had issues losing weight. Now on the implant, I've returned to my normal (pre bc control pills) weight an I really like it.
I totally agree. I have gained 18kg in 10 months :( and also didn't change my eating habits.. i rather cut down on meal sizes, i did do swimming.. and have put on weight! 18 kg is not a muscle grow :(

I've also had issues with losing weight while on the implanon I've been on it for about 4 months now and I've gained some weight and no matter how much I excersise I can't seem to lose it and when I get my period it lasts for about a month or two. Is this normal ? Because its a head ache for me
I have recently lost weight on the nexplanon. My BMI is already normally low I'm 5'10" and weigh 125 lbs. For some reason i tend to lose weight on BC. I also lost weight with the depo shot years ago. I actually got sown to 108 lbs. I went to the doctor and they checked my thyroid and other things as well. Which all came back normal. They said there is no way i would lose weight on it. But when i went off i gained it back...
i been on nexplanon for a little over a year and I put on 45 pounds and I rarely eat
I'm 21 years old, military and I cannot loose fat weight to save my life. I've had it for 2 years.
I'm having this issue now it's been almost a year since I had it. Did you get it taken out? I've been thinking about it and even switching to the pill instead.
I've drastically lost weight on the impanon both times thinking about taking it out
