I've had this, "blood" problem twice, in my 56 years on this planet. The only commom denominator, has been 'alcohol'.

I too, have recently noticed this happening to me but the thing is I have never even tasted alcohol. Yes, but I do take coffee, lots and lots of coffee (600 ml or more a day). That is not too much, is it? Also this one time I bled profusely because the night before I ate tomato sauce with excessive red chillies. So, I concluded that it was piles.

Yep it is alcohol related in my opinion. I have been a heavy beer drinker for several years. Turned 40 and all the sudden the same symptoms. When I do not drink I have no blood, when I rage the night before the next day is pretty bad. I stopped drinking for 2 months and had no problems at all, even with spicy and sometimes greasy food.... Went on a bender and the next day it was bright red.

Since alcohol is a diuretic, and you drink often, you are most likely dehydrated. Everyone that has this problem needs to drink more water, more often. Ulcers are like lip sores when you have dry cracked lips. Also mineral build-up is the creation of kidney stones. When you are dehydrated minerals can not move to waste, so they build-up and crystalize. These stones are sharp and cut the inner walls. How many of you pee when you poop? When you hydrate your lips, they get better. More water, more water, more water. Originally I was going to say just get more water, but then after thinking about for a minute, I recommend you go get trigger point therapy, then hydrate. Get a camelback and spend a week getting more water in your body :-D Trigger point therapy is a pretty painful 60 minutes and you could just hydrate and it will stop blood it your stool, but you wont feel like you're on cloud 9 for the rest of your life.

I have experienced this too. I'm not a heavy drinker or a binge drinker. I only drink occasionally (maybe 1 or 2 drinks a year) and the only alcohol that causes this to happen to me is vodka. I've tried other alcohols to see if anything happens but it doesn't. I have been checked for different things that have all been suggested to be checked for and I had a clean bill of health. The only thing I can honestly come up with is that I am allergic to vodka. Our bodies are strange animals. If you know something aggravates your system, stay away from it the best you can. Good luck and I hope things get better for you.

I too have this problem of what I felt was blood in the toilet and when I wipe myself, after I have drank Rose wine or Bloody mary's.
Sometimes when I stand up pink drips into the toilet.
i did go to my Doctor and they took a urine sample ans sent it for testing, but everything was alright. Someone suggested about being dehydrated, and I think this mught be my problem. I get very dry mouth and my lips peel all round the edgses.
I drink one mug of coffe in the morning before work, and during the day I omnly drink one bottle of fizzy water, and when I come home I either have 2 large glasses of bloody Marys or a couple of glasses of wine. so I think I am probably very dehydrated.
If i don't have alcohol for a few days the pink or red goes away, but returns if I drink again.
The bloodloke substance in not in my stools, but I think it comes from the Vagina.
I have never thought it was really blood but the bloody mary just going right through me.
Sometimes like today it was deeper and more red.
i feel like taking the toilet paper with me to the doctor th show him exactly what is happening..
But dehydration and alcohole use make sense.

vodka is pure alcohol diluted with water to 40%. It damages body tissue in those concentrations. Make a mixed drink with lots of fluids (juice, water, etc.) and monitor the size of the drink to 200ml and you shouldn't encounter this problem again.
