My wife has a severe cramping pain in her lower abdomen during clitoral (as opposed to vaginal) orgasm. It may be endometriosis and a sub-condition called dysorgasmia. See is going to see a gynecologist (one that is more gyn than ob so to speak) other than her usual one as he was unsure as to what this condition was.
Hey everyone. I just wanted to share my experience and let you know that your not alone. Im 29 years old and have been experiencing pain with and after orgasm for a little over ten years. I've tried abstaining from organs and sex for months at a time. I've tried pelvic floor therapy (doesn't seen to help anything). I've been checked for cysts, endometriosis, rumors, low estrogen levels, xrays, scopes, internal and external ultra sounds. All come back negative. Nothing had helped, my new ob told me that every month when we ovulate we grow a cyst, and every month after ovulation the cyst ruptures and hours away. While my orgasms are more painful during this time, I will have pain associated with then while not ovulating. One theory I've heard is to lose weight. Another is that there is to much scar tissue and is cramping the muscles (what about before my c section?) All in all I feel helpless. Luckily sex is empirical for me and I don't need to orgasm. Just count your lucky stars of you can. Ibu helps if I take it a few hours before hand. But let's be honest we don't always know. On a scale from one to ten my pain verys from 4_7. But is stay at a 5/6. So bearable knowing that it only lasts for a few hours at a time. I hope one day they can find answers for us who suffer. Good luck!
I am 46 and started having the sharp pain sensation only wih orgasm about 5 months ago. I got really worried and started doing research on this. I think I am close to what could be the answer to my problem! ACNES is Anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome. The diagnosis is often overlooked. Treatment of ACNES can be as simple as a local injection of anesthetics into the abdominal wall. No need to abstain if this treatment works for you. Ask your doctor about this!
Yes, exactly how you describe it but on my right side. I'm also young and had a pap smear, several doctors seen, no problem found. I developed my pain about 5 months ago - intense during orgasm, and throbbing during any excitement or seemingly no reason at all.
Yes the pain is typically described to be on the right side. Mine is too. Really ask your doctor to assess and consider treating you for Anterior cutaneous nerve entrapment syndrome.
I have the above symptoms, I had a colonoscopy, pap smear, pain still there. Something is going on there, pain has never been there before and I am 53. All tests they ever run find nothing, just costs me money every time.
