my mother has been having pain in the lower abdomen with chills. It came on suddenly. There is no stomach cramps or diarrhea. She is an 8 year survivor of Rectal cancer & has severe damage from radiaTION.

It could be associated with the cancer, it could be appendicitis, or it could be something else. In any case, I would take her to the emergency room RIGHT NOW.
