For the past 3 months I have had the feeling that I have a lump in my throat just above the sternum and up about an inch and a half to the left. Even swallowing water or saliva can give me a choking feeling. I have had an endocopy and was told that everything in that area looks fine. They ran blood work to check my thyroid and that too came back fine. Now I have been referred to an ENT. I am 52, post menopausal and taking Premarin. I have been reading about hormone inbalances that effect the thyroid. Now I am wondering if it is a gynecologist I need to see instead of an ENT. I would appreciate your opinion, as all this is getting extremely costly.
