Two days ago I noticed a lump in my pelvic region. I got really scared because it doesn’t hurt and I know that cancer doesn’t hurt. It is sort of soft and movable, I can kind of put it back but it would come back protruding again. It doesn’t cause any other symptoms and I am really scared. Any ideas on what it could be and if I should see a doc!

Hi! It would be wise to see a doctor, that is for sure but I don’t think it is cancer. You can’t push cancer back in. By your description, I would say it is inguinal hernia. My father had it, and it went all the way to his testicles causing pain down there. Inguinal hernia is when a part of small intestines breaks through abdominal muscles and protrudes. This causes lump in the pelvic region that may be pushed back. The lump usually reappears when a person strains, coughs, or laughs. My father had pain in his testicles and had it operated, but it doesn’t mean you will have to do it too. However, you better have it checked. Good luck!
