Thanks curver!

Same here! I'm 26 and feel this lump on the right side of my neck more than 4 years! It makes my neck and shoulders stiff. I play soccer so i thought i had pulled it as well, then thought about my posture (i have lordosis). But nothing helps me - i tried to do stretches, exercises, correct my posture when sitting at pc, warm up my neck and shoulders before soccer - nothing. After 4 years it's still there and my neck and shoulders is still stiff (but i think it's not worsening) . GP sent me to have ultrasound for neck and Thyroid Gland - nothing. Only my Eosinophil count in blood tests is higher than normal.

It's really bothers me! Have some little panic but don't know any doctor why could help me.

Does anyone have solution?

Glad everyone is talking about this. This past sunday I felt a lump on the left side of my neck and it goes a little under my ear and under my jaw. Monday I immediately went to the doctor. I'm on atibiotics now and it seems to have a gotten a little smaller. If you've had a sore throat or any type of fever or ear infection it's probably a swollen lymph node. Nothing to worry about just go to the doctor and get antibiotics. They did tell me that if it doesn't start to improve my Friday to go back in. In that case I'm sure they'll do an biopsy to see what it is.

Hi,
I understand that the problem is with dairy (and maybe gluten also), but dairy for sure!
I don't now how and haven't been to doctor yet, but each time i'm eating dairy, then after one day my neck and upper back becomes stiff and lump on right side of neck appears. Also feeling very tired then.
So i understand connection (and i think that's why my Eosinophil count in blood tests was higher than normal. I need to recheck them soon).
No dairy = no stiffness = no lump on the neck.

That's my answer.

I have a small lump on the left side of my neck an inch or two under my ear. I believe it is a lymph nod infection, but I wanted to make sure its nothing serious. Also, if you're going to answer any questions, please make it legible. You people are awful at spelling and grammar.

I have had the same lump you all seem to be taking about for years. it is a glad. mine tends to become mpre prominant when i am run down but when i well can hardly notice it. if you keep proding and poking you will make area sore and the muscle ache.
mo its not something to worry about but if you are ypu should visit gp.

Very first thing I have to say is:  PEOPLE!  PLEASE check your spelling before you submit your post.  Most of you could have EASILY fixed most of your posts.  I was half tempted to think that there were kids posting this stuff... Anyways, I'm 26 about to turn 27 with a history of no smoking and rare drinking.

I went to the doctor yesterday after feeling bad for the last week or so.  I started out with a sore throat, then finding white stuff in the back of my throat and then I noticed the glands right behind BOTH of my ear lobes were sore.  But I also have a lump near my spine about mid way down my neck.  That one is really sore if you touch it, but a  friend said that you can't see it... The doctor said that I came back negative for Type A Strep, but that it could be Type S, C, D, or E... He prescribed me penicillin, so I'm hoping that that works to fix all the problems that seemed to crop up together.

I found the same lump on R side of my neck, with intermittent 1-2 second sharp pain on the R side of my head, or below my R ear, or below the jaw . I learned from my GP yesterday that it was a swollen lymph node due to a pimple like infection just beneath my hairline. I tried to squeeze it a few days ago and now the lymph node does its' job; draining the bacterias/waste product. the sharp pain (I am still having) is probably a nerve being affected by the swollen lymph node. swelling has reduced a bit today. I will live!

I've been getting the same deal too. It's caused me to break out alot of acne (especially on the chin). I want to go see a doctor soon about it, but im pretty sure it's just a swollen gland that tells me that my immune system is weak. Anyways, I guess i might as well go see the doctor anyways because they have to check a chipped bone in my arm from skateboarding haha c'est la vie.
