My doctor informed me that they found a lump on my windpipe. They still don't know any further details and all I have been given is this useless NHS brochure that talks about possible diagnoses. I am out of my mind thinking I have cancer, though the doc said this is unlikely. Just wanted to vent.
I am so sorry to hear about that! The brochure you were given is probably right though, I don't think cancer is a very likely possibility. I think you probably have a cyst or even multiple cysts as they are the most common medical complication in that area. I can't really help you much other than that, but there you are... hold on and be strong!

Cysts, that is what the doctor said as well, but tell anyone who has to spend a week waiting for tests results to come back that. I am sure everyone worries about the worst. Can anyone share their stories with me and put my mind at ease? That would be enormously appreciated.

Cancer is genetic and inherited. So if in your heritage has it than you are fine. If someone does there is a test you should know about that determines your chances of getting it.

I have a chronic cough and have multiple spasms in my windpipe throughout the day. Does anyone else suffer from this?
