I made a second test at laboratory to confirm I get rid of Staphylococcus aureus - it's confirmed.
The inhalation of the birch smoke is most successful method to fight against this bacteria.
It doesn't cost much. Just some free time to collect wood bark and willing to make fire.
Most important factors are:
- make sure you get wet/moist birch branches/wood bark (best: fresh cut/branches after rainy day)
- it must contain white wood bark color (as it contain betulin)
- inhale till your eyes start tearing (usually within 10min - DON'T DO IT LONGER)
- do sessions every 2 days next for 2 weeks (let say: monday - wednesday - friday - sunday - tuesday - thursday - sunday)

Some people also telling that they made 1 week session twice a day. I didn't try that way. But I cba to do it so often as it's time consuming and your clothes will smell bad.

DISCLAIMER:
I'm not responsible for any damage by using this method. However It worked for me.
Please make sure you will do the throat swab at laboratory, before and after birch smoke inhalation session. Just for your own sake.

Did you ever find out the cause?

I have this issue when lying in my back; my lungs feel as though they are filling up with something.... i feel like I need to cough, so I do, but it’s a dry hacking ( have inhaler) when I saw you mentioned previous staphylococcus infection and throat issues, it caught my attention. I’ve had vocal cord nodules and had my cords stripped approx 10-13 times, mild carcinoma a couple of times, now permanent vocal cord damage, but I got the staphylococcus infection after my last throat surgery (over 2 years ago) but now this lung issue continues to happen every time I lay on my back. I’ve had CT scans, EKGs and blood tests out the wazzoo, but nothing found; I’m wondering if there is some connection with the staphylococcus. Anybody else with these issues??

Aw I'm so sorry you've been going through this and I'm so thankful that you shared your journey and results here, they have helped me. I am going through a similar thing and I notice my lungs are fine on the deep inhales when I am on my side or standing. The only problem when I'm on my back and the dizzyness I feel got better for me and also with the vision and focus and flickering problems.
I felt to start taking Vitamin B12 for my blood cells and lungs and that's actually helped me with the full lungs and the problems breathing deeply and fully. I had some breathing attacks when I noticed when at my resting heart rate I was not breathing full breaths or exhaling properly. Like it was full lungs. Since I took the Vitamin B12 that no longer happens to me.
For me I found I have Hashimotos which is with the Thyroid and now I take (i've tried many drops and many oils didn't work) a CBD with .03% THC and this helps me not have any more anxiety or heart palpitations. A miracle honestly because nothing else worked to calm down my thyroid like this, and works for many things my husband uses it too. I've been using it for 7 months now. I take a multivitamin every day and also found that when my hormones get thrown off, anxiety happens and also dizziness and eye issues. So when I feel that my mood is lower or if my hair is falling out a little more than usual, I rub a little progesterone cream on my foot and I start to level out and feel better.
Besides all of this, my biggest change was my diet. Strict diet at the start to get myself to feel better for 2-3 weeks and I felt the change after only 1 week- No dairy, no corn products, no sugars (only a little dark chocolate and fruits), no soy products, no saturated fats, no eating out, no gluten, no alcohol.

This is easier than it sounds because you can just eat at home and eat clean and any time you want something sweet, just put all your fav. fruits in your fridge at the ready and soon your body adjusts.

I feel like a different person, I feel so much better and my mood is more amazing more consistently, my hormones are so much more balanced. Only thing now is my lungs bubbling when I take that first initial deep breath as I lay on my back. But I inhales vapors with Eucalyptus and Lemongrass and that seemed to help me for a couple of days this breath thing didn't happen. So if there is a slight infection, maybe it will be completely clear if I inhale vapors for about 1-2 weeks. I will try that first before I try an inhaler...

I am not a practitioner nor am I suggesting anything, just sharing my experiences.
Also an extensive test for my thyroid caught the Hashimotos, a usual thyroid check they miss this.

With my lungs I felt that my B12 was low and once I took that, I could breathe better, my lungs had full breath compacity and this thing happens to me less. When I don't take B12 I notice my breathing is more stressed and shallow and also this laying on the back and bubbling in my deep breath and only happens on first and second deep breath and then I'm ok for a while and then happens again. Sometimes this wakes me up and I worry and then can't sleep, happened last night again and it sucked.

Also I tried inhaling Euchalyptus and Lemongrass oil with vapors, I boiled water and put a towel over my head and inhaled for a couple of minutes. This lung thing didn't happen for 2 days but then happened again. So now I will try this esential oil and vapor thing I did but will do it for a week and see what happens... Hope this helps you, B12 helped me for sure... Sometimes I take a B-complex.
Not sure I'm not a doctor nor am I advising, just sharing my experience.

Had gall bladder removal along with Hiatal Hernia Repair( Toupet Fundliplication) but still have congestion when I lay down. Use a Nebulizer now till a Pulmonologist & ENT check me out. I lay down only a couple hours at a time before requiring breathing treatments. Quality sleep is lacking. Takes 12 hours to get 6 or so Hrs. sleep.

Also very careful of diet. Very little white flour, no red meat, only goat kefir or milk, minimal coconut sugar or organic honey, mostly organic decaf.

sounds like you have a pleural rub which is caused by fluid accumulation in between the lung and its protective lining. point directly to the area when you are laying down and your doctor should hear it. keep going back until your doctors listen!
