In order for sperm to live, it has to be frozen. That is why we have sperm banks for people who want to be artificially inseminated. It won't live in regular ice or a cooler from home. There are procedures that have to be followed and regulated thru the sperm bank to keep sperm alive. Their freezing procedure is so much different that a home freezer or a tray of ice cubes.
You may want to contact your Doctor and he may be able to direct you to the right place. I would think you have to give your sample and they take it from there. The bank will know how to ship it the proper way to keep it alive.
