Hi, I'm a 13 year old guy who is circumcised and I have a question. I have masturbating for almost a year? Well anyway my parents are clueless of what I'm doing and after the first week almost a year ago on the glans or near the sulcus the skin was missing so thinking it would grow back I ignored it. And now from masturbating all the skin is completely gone and I mean like the head is still on and everything but just that little skin around near the top of the shaft. I also don't use a lubricant probobly a mistake. And now I'm worried something will happen. And I don't know if I should tell my parents or just leave it. At first I thought it was normal but know I don't what to do. Is surgery involved? Should I tell my parents?
Hi,

I'm older but have the same exact problem. I would always m.asturbate (why is this considered a 'bad word'?) with my left-hand and I overmasturbated, mostly not knowing the right techniques and because I'd mast.urbate while stoned on weed (which feels better but takes a long time to come). Basically the skin on the left side where the shaft meets the head (I'm circumcized) is totally corroded. It is much thinner than the skin on the other side and rolls up and sticks together (the other side seems ok). There seems to be a small, sort of cut that gets deeper on the bottom left side close to the head. Also, it's a little messed up going down the left, bottom side of the shaft-there's a brown line going down it that connects to a sort of divit close to where the shaft meets the head. It gets better when I lay off mast.urbating but as soon as I start again it gets much worse very quickly. Once or twice I've made it to three weeks without masturba.ting but it's not enough time for it to heal.

Yes, lubricant would've helped and maybe prevented the situation, but it's too late at this point. I think you're just going to have to quit mastur.bating for like 6-8 weeks to be safe (once you've gone that long might as well go all the way, it'd be terrible if it almost healed and you started m.asturbating again, meaning you had to quit and start over again with going without it). It's hard but you just have to practice. Try going as long as you can without it. At first, it might be two days, then three, then five. After a while you can build it up and then you'll hardly need to do it anymore. Once you get to that point you just have to quit for long periods of time. I tried going right handed or doing everything I could to keep from touching or moving the irritated area (for example, I'd use my right hand and wack off at the very bottom of the shaft, so that all contact was very far away from the irritated area), but nothing works. Even when it appears the irritated area isn't affected by my mas.turbating, it clearly is and gets worse every time I do it so that I have to take these 4-6 day breaks every once in a while so it can heal a little bit.

Does anyone else have this problem that can shed some light on this? Are there any techniques you can use that don't irritate your penis at all (other than ma.sturbating with your a.nus obviously)? Is there any way I can mastu.rbate without affecting the skin in the slightest way where the head and shaft meet? Anything would be great appreciated. Giving it up for weeks will be very, very hard.

OP-if you just go to the doctor, let us know what s/he says.
