I can agree with you on that. I've been on lamotrigine 150mg since I was 15 and iam 22 now. I weigh 109lbs also. I've been smoking since I was 13 everyday and recently started to feel weird when I smoke. You sound like me when I was a teen and no im not a down person. Ima very upbeat person who loves my life♡

I smoke on occasion. 100 mg lamictal.
Only side effects I can tell are that when I smoke, it makes me stupid dizzy when I come down, foggy, and FREEZING. And I may or may not be dizzy the day after I smoke. No rhyme or reason. Its weird.

Most of the posts that came before this one almost came from 16 year olds. As a high school teacher myself, I must say, that I thought this post was quite thoughtful and respectful of differences between people. Ashee, I think you're right that it is so much about how you naturally react to weed. Some people never have paranoid stuff, and just don't get all these major negative reactions. There may be other reasons to consider cutting back at some point between today and the day you die though :-)

I'm on 25mg as well and had the same thing happen to me! I thought I was going crazy. I heard the voices and everything, which pushed me into a huge panic attack, the worst I've ever had. I think this convinced me to quit the meds.

I've had epilepsy all my life. From drinking alcohol and smoking weed my medication has never had a sufficient level. I've been sober now for almost 3 years. I've had no seizures as well as taking my medicine consistently lamictal and keppra have kept me seizure free. So I think. Maybe no alcohol is a variable in my life long experiment with seizure disorder. Marijuana I believe maybe not a good thing two combined with my medication either? Although I do wonder the pros and cons of marijuana toward epilepsy?

it's so weird reading all these different negative reactions while being on lamictal and smoking pot. I have not had any bad reactions and i smoke a lot....like 3/4 big blunts a day and some good tokes.... the only reason I've googled this was to see if smoking while on this medication "keeps me from getting high", or if my tolerance has just shot up. :p im currently on lexapro and 75 mg of lamictal....i've been having very bad stomach pains (have ibs, or so they tink) doc says it might be something with my colon. but any who the weed helps for the pain

I'm 30 and have smoked for 10+ years. I am currently taking 75MG Lamictal and still smoke regularly and it has had no negative impact on my meds. I wake up and continue on with my day without being tired or hungry all the time and I smoke often throughout the day. I'm sure on a lot of people it would have a negative effect but in my case it only helps energize me and calm my anxiety so that I can interact socially without freaking out.
