Let me just say, I think all of you need psychological treatment because your problems lay much deeper than marijuana. Also if you started smoking at age 14 it a pretty good clue that you never should have started to begin with. Drugs are for grown ups. Ie tobacco, alcohol, caffeine. They change how your brain develops and it does a lot of developing. even into early adulthood. I just see a room that says weed did all this bad stuff to me. People that decide to become sober for various reasons need to take responsibility for their actions....not blame that naughty plant that finds so many people comfort and happiness.

This is so not funny, the ones who are in denial are the ones who are bashing pot. I don't need anyone to tell me what I can or can't do. ANY intelligent person can see from the studies and statistics that it's way less dangerous than many over the counter substances. Leave the so called pot heads alone and guzzle your booze and eat your big pharma meds like candy...see who dies first...and worst!

It's hard not to defend a substance that has not definitively been shown to neurotoxic, has MULTIPLE medical uses for diseases ranging from epilepsy to ADL to cancer (and with cancer not only for the symptoms but also for its anti-cancerous and anti-proliferative properties), has no known overdose deaths, and is incredibly useful in many other ways as well. As for the THC "staying in your system for over a month," hate to break it to you, but that is THC-COOH a metabolite with no psychoactive effects. As for the claim of physical addiction, even government backed studies seem to refrain from arguing that one (that is not to say there is not a psychological addiction).

You are ridiculously wrong. Cannabis raises your tcells. It does not lower. Wherever you are getting your info from is utterly wrong. More likely the pneumonia shot is what you should look into. There is not a single recorded case in the history of mankind of cannabis killing anyone. So your son must be the least lucky person to walk the earth.

That´s exactly what marijuana does: makes people stressed like you are defending your drug. Look how many times you wrote "f**k" in just 5 lines...

I agree totally! The stuff has kept me from achieving what I could have had I never smoked. Quitting crack wasn't as hard as quitting weed. Saying its not addictive is assinine.

I am edicted to pot from last 20 years. I do it in the evenings since I am alone.  I have been able to leave it for several days at a time but fall back to the habit. I do not have to have it every evening but mostly. My familty suggests that I shoul get help from a drug therapist. Those of you who have been able to kick this habbit, please share your ecperience with me. That will be great help. Please share your experiences if you have seen a drug theparist.

Thanks for your hel[

Not addictive? I spent 2 weeks institutionalized because it was "not addictive". I almost lost my family, job, etc. Good for you for working it out yourself, but don't make a blanket statement for all of us.

I got oral cancer from smoking weed, as soon as a quit I had my tumors shrink in size. doctors say i have a chance to survive. I ask everyone who is looking to try this drug, as with any habit there can be results of this habit that are painful and even in some cases deadly. I feel fortunate that I have a chance to survive. All habits are dangerous no matter what they are, please do not be foolish with your health no matter what habit you may have. I wish fellow pot smokers would stop telling people that it is a safe habit. I am anti pot after being a smoker for years. I did quit with the help of a Christian Science practioner, which this person help me to pray to quit. I was so willing to try anything to quit. I am thankful for the help the practitioner gave me. I hope my message will help others to think about their health in a more responsible way.

I've been addicted to it off and on since 16 and I'm 46 now. Started smoking again 1 year and 6 months ago. Before I started back, I gained weight to 129 PDS. During the time I smoked, I lost weight rapidly, and still ate normal. When I reached 85 PDS, I knew I had to quit, or die. So I quit 9 days ago, and I haven't gained any weight yet, and I'm still a little scared I might not make it if I don't gain.
