is it possible that having intercourse while still on your period delays your cycle? i know there are less possibilities of getting pregnant, but i took a pregnancy test and the resulsts were negative. So how am I so behind?

The act itself cannot change your cycle. Your cycle is controlled hormonally. Did you take the pregnancy test too early? If not, what was going on? Did this happen again? Having intercourse cannot cause a disruption in your cycle but is there something else going on in your life right now too? I know that stress can often cause you to skip or delay a period so that's always a possibility. Have you taken another pregnancy test since posting or are you still waiting to see if your period came or did it already come? Thanks for letting us know!
