I am having exactly the same issue. It began with some bad luncheon meat and the white diarrhea. Still have that unique smell after a couple months. Let me know what you have learned

Hello! I read your post and I hope you can help me too. I take an iron supplement every night. About a year and a half ago I was told that I was borderline anemic. My doctor told me to start eating more red meat and put me on the iron supplement. About 3 months ago I noticed a wierd toxin smell coming from my bowel movements . Could this be from the iron supplements ? I do not have blood in the stool.
I don't eat fish and this happens to me.

Have you considered your water supply? Do you have old pipes that might have metals in them?
That as****e said that about tuna bc u said ur "partner" and "she". We're lesbians. Dont u know we love tuna? Psh . Grow up. I'm having the same issue and my dr said it's bc I'm anemic...doesn't make sense to me but hey,i m not a dr. Just an idea. And go rot immature tuna eating as****e. Karma is hell.

For individuals taking morphine and opiates, they will have this tiny, metallic smell. They will also notice that these airborne molecules are heavy and will stay in the nares (nostrils) for quite some time after leaving the bathroom. It is a metabolic toxin/by-product of the drug. Not says that you are taking these drugs. It's just the 1st thing that comes to mind as I work in healthcare.

Hi. I'm fascinated by your story. I myself had an episode similar to yours but lasted 6 weeks. I thought I was gonna die! Doc for tests and nothing was wrong but then it stopped by itself. I suffer with IBS too. Do u have anything like that?
Do you take any probiotics to help with this?

Hello I too have been experiencing this metallic smell with my stools for about 2 1/2 years now. I have no insurance so Dr. Tests are out. Don't eat fish, spinach, nettles, supplements or vitamins hate garlic and I hardly drink water. I stick more to pop and juice. Any clue what's going on over here?
i myself have been experiencing a similar thing however mine didnt start until i was put on a medication called Geodon, it caused major (painful like my belly was going to explode) bloating, metallic/down right foul gas from both ends. not really sure if this info will be of any help
furthermore i have been off Geodon sence 2012 only being on the medication for 2 months yet the symptoms presist.
