Yeah I have never heard of any jail giving any narcotics out. I also never have heard of anyone dying from withdraws, you may think you want to die because it's a living hell for a little while.

I can speak for the county jails down here in Florida as long as you are a patient at a methadone clinic they will dose you for only up to a week that's all so if you plan on or you end up doing more than one week in jail you're pretty much screwed after one week.... coming from a person who has done a lot of time in County Jail I can tell you that I have came off heroin methadone and Suboxone all cold turkey while coming off of Xanax at the same time for every single one. since I am a former Army Ranger with PTSD and have been prescribed 3 full bars/6MGs a day for the past seven years and I can tell you honestly that BY FAR, THE ABSOLUTE ....I MEAN THE ABSOLUTE WORST AND MOST PAINFUL, PHYSICALLY AND MENTALLY AND WILL ACTUALLY MAKE YOU HALLUCINATE are withdrawals from Suboxone and they last the absolute longest and just recently coming off of heroin in 2012 was bad then coming off of 160MGs of methadone in 2013 was even worse but then just recently about two weeks ago I just was arrested and came off Suboxone cold turkey in jail and I've been on Suboxone now for about 4 years and it is by far the absolute worst withdrawals you have ever felt in your life nothing else on this planet even comes close. this was the only drug that I've ever quit cold turkey and had a seizure because of it. now I am actually back at the methadone clinic taking methadone to get off of the Suboxone since the Suboxone withdrawals can last up to 60 to 90 days I'm taking methadone right now and I feel great but if I weren't taking it I would be feeling the withdrawals right now but since I'm taking the methadone I don't feel it so I just wanted to set the record straight about which one is the worst and also about Correctional institutions at the very most if you do go to a place where they allow you your medication you will only get it for about a week and that's it other than that they don't care they will monitor you and unless you are literally about to die they will let you just sit there and sh*t all over the place and throw up all over the place as long as your blood pressure is fine and your temperature is fine they don't care and this is what I've learned just from where I've been. Hope that helped.

My husband was picked up on a body only warrant in Mn. It is so fucken redneck here. We have been on methadone since 2005, daily @ 140mg. He has ten days to do. Since he had a scheduled day he was suppose to turn himself in and didnt they took his three days good time. He is so fucken sick, he has high blood pressure to begin with. He said if he dies in there he said sue the f**k out of that county! I said i would. They are screwed up!!!

Not true. Hes not likely to die but it can definitely lead to death and exacerbate other conditions. For instance if he has a weak heart and or any other ailments seizures. or takes medications in conjunction people have died from withdrawal and that myth needs to be laid to rest.

Everything said here is inaccurate in so many ways, I dont even know where to start. People don't die from WD of opioids, as well as it is extremely difficult to die on benzos alone. Its the 2 together thats a deadly mix. There are literally thousands of doctors thay prescribe opioids and benzos, usually for a reason other than obvious but still.
