I was wondering if someone could help me out. I have been off the pill for a month now (ran out), have been having migranes, and lower back pain that feels like an ache. I have also had tender breasts, and cramps which feel liky my period. I should have gotten my period 3 days ago but didn't, but it sure feels like I am about to get it any minute now. I went to my gyno about 2 weeks ago for my yearly exam, and everything was fine. I was just wondering if these symptoms are from being off of the pill, stress, or something else. I don't think I'm pregnant because I was on the pill, took it regularly, and haven't had sex since I got my last period; however I did have it while on the placebo pills. Also, I think the obgyn would have noticed when I went for my checkup. I did also read that going off the pill could cause your period to be out of wack. If someone could help that would be great!
Hello!
I have suffered from migraines since I was 2 years. Although I don't know what causes them, I do know how to prevent and get rid of them! Stay far away from peanuts and peanut butter!!!! They can be a major trigger of migraines. There are other things also, such as eggs or anything high in protien. The triggers are different for everyone. The peanut butter is my biggest trigger! Also, the triggers can change at times as well. My other biggest trigger is any type of artificial sweetener. Even splenda causes an instant migraine. Do you ever get auras or warning signs that one is coming on? For example my vision will blur or my left side will go numb and within 24 hours or less I will have a full blown migraine! Try taking an aspirin and a benadryl together. If you feel the makings of one coming on try this. I know that this sounds crazy, but I promise, it does work. Get a bucket of the hottest water that you can possibly stand and soak your feet in it. As I said it sounds silly, but when you get these you are willing to try anything! Also try taking feverfiew on a daily basis. My aunt used to get terrible migraines and it almost completely eliminated them! If you can get imitrex from your doctor, this is a wonderful pain reliever as well! You can also get imitrex shots from the emergency room. These usually relieve the worst of migraines within 5 to10 minutes! Also as a preventative my doctor put me on topamax. I went from getting them twice a week to none at all! Good luck to you.

HI:
It sounds like somewhat normal side effects from going off of the pill. I'm surprised that your doctor did not discuss a pregnancy test if you mentioned the symptoms that you were having. However, the doctor would have noticed obvious changes during your gyn exam, if you were pregnant. Get tested for pregnancy just to be sure. The aches and pains seem odd though. Perhaps they are related to stress. Only you could answer hat question though. Think about what's going on in your life. If you are under a lot of stress, investigate ways that you can manage your stress, i.e. exercise, hobbies, environmental changes, etc. Stress can cause a lot of weird body reactions. Check it out and see what changes you can make to help yourself.
