i had colon resection surgery about 2 years ago any my stomach has started to look so strange. i have put on weight since the surgery (about 50 pounds) which i am in the process of loosing. i do have a small heria but it isn't that. i have showed this to two docs (the one who did the surgery i don't see him till sept) who didn't know but one said maybe the colon is resting there? when standing half of my stomach sticks out farther than the other and is firm to the touch like if i was pregnant but i'm not. the other half is starting to flatten as i have lost some weight but when i lay down the funny shaped side of my stomach flattens out and there isn't anything hard like a tumor or anything. i do remember when i came home from the hospital having a smallerbump on that side but i figured it was mostly swelling. now i am so embarrassed i wear long shirts all the time to try to hide it
You could have a Ventral Hernia where the abdominal wall weakened after your surgery. Gaining the weight could have caused it to be larger. I bet your surgeon will be able to help you. I would seriously try to lose the weight tho, otherwise it will sag later. Good luck!
