Hi- I had a MRI done for a lump on the bottom of my foot. I have the report and see the Dr next week. I was wondering what exactly it means. It said'Significant finding is an area of low signal intensity on T1 combined with high signal intensity on T2 and fat suppressed images measuring 4.0mm in diameter and 18.0 in antero-posterior length with a more or less tubular configuration situated in relation to the flexor tendond of the fourth phalanx.' It said this may represent a ganglion formation. It the lump in a tendon according to this report? And what is a phalanx? I have had 2 cortisone shots that did shrink it some-but it is still painful. Any ideas? Thank you in advance!
