I am a 58 year old female who was just diagnosed with MS last October. I had noticed that I had started losing weight before my first exacerbation. Before this I was weighting 128 - 132 lbs. As of this morning I am down to 118 lbs. I eat very healthy. No meat, just fish and chicken. I have 4 - 6 fruits & veggies a day along with high fiber whole grain breads. I try to stay away from white sugar, white potatoes and white rice and instead have organic sugar, yams and brown basmati rice. Do you feel that this weight loss could be attributed to MS? My neurologist doesn't seem concerned but it does worry me and this weight loss at my age has me looking old and drawn out.
