As a parent have your son feel his penis maybe even pulling it straight up and see if there is a reaction.
Maybe you should inspect the uretha for any discharge that is not normal.

I am 53 years young. I have a dozen grandsons (no girls yet) as well as two sons of my own. I have seen just about everything mentioned on this board. The main thing is this: too many of you are getting themselves worried into a frenzy when it is totally unnecessary. Kids are sexually curious by nature (especially boys) and one needs to understand that no matter what happens, it can all be forgiven. Just ask. It’s a very simple solution. If it became a constant act, you would obviously need to take the child to a therapist/Psychiatrist/what have you. Everyone calm down and don’t worry about their little boys having erections or worse. Let your common sense guide you - if not, ask someone who is ryain this area. It is not the end of the world for any of you - it’s LIFE. There are far worse things.... BUT- it is very important to nip it in the bud - BUT..... Very Important!, do NOT make a big thing about it. It all depends on the severity of the issue (your boy taking a girl into his room and trying to have sex with her is obviously more worrisome than a boy having an erection at 6-9 years old. Big deal. God Bless you all!

There is nothing to worry at all about your elder son erection, for few it takes time that's all. Its very known fact that erection happens for infants also.
So stay happy nothing to worry about him. Take care keep smiling

Kids usually don’t want to tell you if they’ve had an erection or not, because they go through a very awkward time of their life when they start getting erections. They may feel embarrassed about it, so they don’t tell you the truth. I suggest sitting them down and talking to them about it.
