I have an abcess near my anus ( left buttcheck not actually in the anus) and it just burst im happy huge pain relief coulnd feel better, im taking antibiotics and anti inflamatory medication ( sorry if not proprely spelled im portuguese :p) alot of blood n pus comming out and my underwear its getting all dirty and smelly what should i do to keep it clean? Gaze? Toilet papper to absorv? Should i get a shower and clean it properly ? Im very paranoid when it comes to infections i just dont want to infect or spread ! Ty for you reply :)
You can apply moist heat (such as warm compresses) to help the abscess drain and heal faster. DO NOT push and squeeze on the abscess once its already popped.
clean bandage left on wound to help it heal,like a gaze.
You may need to take antibiotics by mouth or ointment to control the infection.

yeah just to be safe to make sure it didnt or wnt get infected. did you know you could have surgically gotten your abscess removed it probably would have been less painful and easier. but im glad ur not in discomfort anymore. have a nice day.:) also ur welcome kind gentleman. :)
