I know I'm a year or so late here and hopefully you are now happy with a child! Just thought I'd let u know this exact same thing was me, it was like reading something I'd written actually! My husband was a heroin smoker for 15 years till his reason to give up (moi) came along and we have a daughter due to be 4 next month and it took a year and a half to conceive and weren't even trying so even if you haven't had any joy yet I'm proof there's still time so either congratulations or good luck x

My husband and I both take 4mg sub films and are trying to cut it out completely. We never did heroin, just pills and we have now been trying to conceive for 2 years with our fertility doctor's help since I don't ovulate for reasons none of the doctors can explain and my husband's sperm count is low and non-motile. I'm convinced subs are the cause although there are no studies to prove it. We are now having to pay for IVF therapy but will quit subs to make sure that's not the cause first.
And your partner's sperm quality has nothing to do with you having a miscarriage. Its more about the implantation of the egg. It might be something as simple as being low on progesterone while you are in the early stages of your pregnancy. A lot of my friends took progesterone pills from the doctor when they found out they were pregnant and stopped miscarrying. Hope this helps! Good luck

Just have him get his sperm tested at a fertility clinic. I used for 10 years hard and am now 4 years clean and my wife is no pregnant for the first time and we were even trying!

I'm on more sub mg than your husband and my sperms were very healthy they said and now my wife's pregnant and we weren't even trying. Is it possible your husband was infertile before he ever started using?

Well just so everyone knows i have been on 8 mg of suboxone for for years and my wife and I just had triplets and they are three months now and all healthy and thriving . No problem getting pregant either we wanted to try and baboom here it is . Maybe age?

I was on Suboxone and became pregnant. Under a doctors supervision I stayed on it till my second trimester and weened off of it. My daughter is 2 now and is completely healthy and smart.

You cant expect him to "never do it again or he will lose you" being an heroin addict is soo much harder than anyone who hasnt been on it would fathom to understand... The best thing you can do is to support him and TRY ur best to understand why he uses, not ridicule him every time he slips up... Do u really think he woke up one day and said "yep i cant wait to be a heroin addict!" With a smile on his face..
Unless he is using everyday and stealing and putting both ur lives at risk, then theres no reason to even say its u or the drug... He loves you, he married you, hes on suboxone, so hes trying at least.. Give him a pat on the shoulder every now n then to let him know hes doing well, because (from experience) if he feels ur over it or arent really having much input into him staying on the right path, then i can guarentee he will use more...

My husband has had same threat begged for forgiveness and swore promised on everything since 2008 and here I am again finding. About to throw him out. I'm 6 months pregnant and am so worried that this baby might not have the same development as the others. I've never done drugs but it seems he's always on something, can't tolerate anymore.
