Hello. I have been having some serious problems.
When I’m doing some physical work like lifting of something heavy or sometimes even when I walk I feel sharp pain in my testicles.
It feels as if my testicles are going to explode if I cough too hard.
I became very frightened first time I have noticed this.
My friend told me that all my symptoms lead to one condition called hernia, but I’m worried this could be something more serious.
I don’t know anything about hernia or no other testicle condition.
Should I worry about this?
Well, I can't say a lot from data you provided me.
I see you are in lot of pain but you didn’t say is there something visible on your testicles.
That is most important sign you could provide me.
If you were suffering from hernia, then it would be very obvious on your testicles.
You would have a big lump on upper side of your testicles and if you push this lump it would go back to the abdomen from where it came.
Of other causes, I would like to mention muscular strain as a possible. If this is your case, than after a while you will get better, don’t worry!
But testicle cancer can also cause similar symptoms. So I suggest you to do a self-testicular examination to find any possible lump or engorged areas. Whatever the result of your self-examination, you should contact your doctor and let him to determine the right cause of your pains. Only then you will be sure you’ve done best thing you could do!
i would phone nhs direct. im 19 was on the sofa fine at 8pm and by 12pm was in surgery because for some reason my testicles had become twisted and was causing a clot. they give you 12-16 hours before it dies then they will remove it. this all happned within a few hours and it reallly is serious. at least get yourself checked out.
