I had surgery on my 2nd, 3rd, and 4th toes at the beginning of July. Stitches were removed at 2 weeks and pins at 4 weeks. I did everything the doctor told me to do. X-rays looked great at pin removal, but within 2 weeks my toes were curling and the swelling on top of my foot would not go down. His PA recommended PT for the swelling and I was advised to tape my toes and continue to wear a shoe boot. It is now 8 weeks after surgery and my toes continue to curl. I am scheduled to see the doctor this week. What questions should I be asking? How unusual is this? Very confused and disappointed.
