I have been thinking about rhinoplasty for quite some time now. Looking for proper and experienced surgeons, had appointments to see which of the surgeons would suit me. Two days ago I had a conversation with a woman who had rhinoplast performed and she told me that she has experienced some problems after her rhinoplasty. She told me that she has developed nasel cysts. None of the surgeons I have talked to mentioned these nasal cysts as possible side effect. All they talked about was swelling and pain. Does anybody know anything about these cysts.

Hi there! I know that there is a possibility of developing these nasal cysts after rhinoplasty, but they are not so common-they are referred to as rare complications. They are also called paraffinoma. These complications occur because of the inherent properties of the agent used or a lack of meticulous technique. To prevent these cysts, surgeons usually use techniques to prevent these unwanted sequelae with the judicious application of non-petroleum-based topical antibiotic preparations.
