Thank you for pointing this out. I was getting anxiety over it not working for Rob, I had my left wisdom teeth taken out last week and plan to have my right taken out next week. I hope this is the cause of all the problems I've been having. The headaches, the fog, the anxiety & just feeling terrible. Nevertheless I have a CT scan scheduled for next Friday just in case-- more to ease my anxiety than anything. I hope to hear from Rob in the coming weeks/months to see if any progress was made.

livwicked,

I'm curious as to why you only got the left out and not all at once?

Did you experience any relief from getting just those out?

I'm having all these symptoms / issues plus pre-exisiting chronic back and stomach problems, and I'm thinking of getting just my right wisdom teeth out first, Just so I don't have to deal with this horrible feeling / anxiety and the recovery of 4 wisdom teeth. Just the thought of that gives me more anxiety. I'm thinking I'll get the right out first, as I do have a little bit of jaw clicking on that side and the muscles seem tighter. Otherwise I have no pain in my jaw, just all the symptoms we hate that came on after partying to hard one night 4 months ago. I do remember waking up from slamming my jaw extremely hard in my hungover state. Maybe that caused some irritation in one or more of my 4 impacted wisdom teeth. I was checked for TMJ and the Dr. said my jaw looked fine, but I should get those teeth out, as they could be causing the issues.

I'm definitely curious if its more of the upper or lower wisdom teeth that are more likely to cause these issues???

As I think I can handle it easier if I only get two of them out at a time.....I'm still waiting for a week that I feel up to getting it done, as some weeks are bad and some are very bad :-(

Hope you (all) find some relief.

Hello all,

Just reporting back on my progress. It's been 12 days since the extraction of all 4 impacted wisdom teeth and an upper left first molar. I still have moments where I feel pretty average, but I must admit, I do feel as if the periods of feeling unwell, anxious and headache and dizziness ridden are becoming shorter and less frequent. I'm still in a bit of pain around the extraction sites and I can still only open my jaw say... 50% lol, but yes, for the sake of easing all of you guys' anxiety ridden minds, I do feel better.

Best advice I can give is to just try not to think about it, relax and try your hardest not to stress - you will literally start to feel the tension in your shoulders, neck and mainly your head start to fade away throughout the course of an hour or so.

I was in a hellish, almost psychotic state for a month or two when this all started about 6 months ago after an episode one night involving a few drinks and smoking weed. I think my body was in a very fragile state and the state of mind the substances put me in just sent me over the top and triggered some extreme panic state in my mind - leaving me with a panic disorder and a dull but quite worrying headache and dizzinesss from that moment on. I've since come a long way, when I really think about it, and that's also before the removal of those damned teeth. I simply 'relaxed'! I tried not to think about it, I shrugged it off as a small issue and thought of myself as an extremely strong individual who can overcome anything. Comparing myself to others with life threatening disabilities and those in third world, poverty stricken situations also helped as it made me realize there's so much more to life than just spending all my time worrying about headaches and what not.

Now, don't get me wrong... I'm far from 'fixed' - however, I am well on the way to leading what I believe to be a normal life and having a normal state of mind again. I still often find myself miserable, confused, with that damned pressure headache either at the back of my head at the base of my skull, or the sinus like one at the front in my face, ah, and the dizziness! I simply massage my neck really deeply (google tension headache massages), do a sinus rinse or take a sudafed and move on with my day. It's hard at first, but you'll learn to train yourself to handle all the symptoms and especially the panic and/or miserable, confused feelings. Something as simple as having a cigarette in public used to trigger panic and sweats that bad that I'd end up having to go home, or at least chill out in a toilet or in open air away from everyone for a bit - now, I'm always having drinks with friends and occasionally can indulge in smoking a joint and getting high lol. It usually only ends in a little bit of panic, depending on how I'm feeling before I start and the events that occur whilst drunk/high.

Long story short guys, stay strong. You'll beat this, I promise. If you don't, well, you certainly aren't trying hard enough. I've also accepted that it could be an underlying anxiety issue, or personality disorder or something, because my brain definitely doesn't work like most peoples' lol (had issues with ADD and other things since a young child), and am considering that the headaches, dizziness and other symptoms are due to my mind being exhaused, my muscles being tense 24/7 and the onset of the dreaded 'depersonalization' and 'derealization' disorders which I feel I've experienced a little of. This helps because I'm not constantly going "wtf is this mystery illness and am I gonna live the rest of my days out miserable and in pain?"...

I know there will be those of you that are unable to read this because it's too long and you 'just want an answer to all of this suffering'! So...Yes, I still have headaches and the dizziness and all that, but only sometimes and it seems easier to control and doesn't seem as severe. Get the teeth out, it can't hurt to try - you have to anyway or they'll cause oral issues later on in life. I think it has helped me, now it's up to me to take myself the rest of the way to full health and a normal state of mind. Make sure you look into a little bit of relief for your sinuses - my teeth seemed to cause havoc on my sinuses and nasal cavity as all three upper teeth I had removed had roots that penetrated my maxillary sinus, which contributed to the 'head pressure'. Also, look into the deep neck muscles - I find that when I have a bad pressure headache, the muscles deep in my neck in those little areas where the neck caves in either side of the spine are really sensitive and sore. You have to push really deep with the thumb or two fingers to feel this, though.

Anyways, enough out of me lol. Good luck to you all! :D

Jay, I had went to my dental clinic's emergency hours & was told that they would only assess and schedule the extraction; but the oral surgeon just happened to be there-- so I had the left and an absessed lower molar removed. She asked if I wanted all of them out at once but I thought I couldn't handle not eating/opening my mouth for a week. I spent the first two days only eating applesauce and then chewing on my right, but now that the left has healed enough I will get the other side taken out. I did feel better the days following but on the 4th day the headaches and anxiety returned. I'd say scheduled yours to be taken out, don't worry about the anxiety hitting after extraction, the meds they give you will cover it. I was given hydrocodone, it didn't hurt as bad as I thought; I only used it after the numbing wore off and the first night to sleep. I hope to feel better after I get the other two out, but keeping with rpalmer92 worrying is soo not helping. I get the tension headaches more often now, I was prescribed an anti anxiety medication that I just took tonight so far its helping. I will most definitely try the tension massage. Good luck with your teeth. I hope you do get them taken out soon, like rpalmer92 said it doesn't hurt to try (well it does hurt a bit).

Hi all! I don't know if anyone still checks this post, but just want to say I appreciate all your stories and had long been suspecting that something may be a miss in the body that create all these other symptoms. As a student in university, under stress my already foggy head starts to experience immense head pressure while trying to concentrate in class. This has only started in the last couple of years. So I'm told it's stress. But pressure comes with any everyday activities...how is one supposed to get through life by not doing ANYTHING? It really puts anxiety on a girl. Getting 2 impacted teeth out soon, will update!

I've been experiencing what I would call a "mystery illness" since January 2nd of last year. I went to bed one day perfectly fine, and woke up the next a mess. I've read through most of the comments, and my symptoms seem to correlate to those who have experienced issues with their wisdom teeth. My symptoms are as follows: Brain Fog Extreme fatigue at times (although I am still capable of playing soccer) Eye floaters Stiff and sore neck/shoulders/arms Tingling in arms and back, stems from neck pain Bouts of Depression and moderate to severe anxiety Stuffy ears/slight loss of hearing Bloody nose and irritated sinuses Derealization (at times) Bad memory Heart palpitations after exertion (which I assume is related to the fatigue) Vivid dreams My top two wisdom teeth are already in, and my lower two are impacted. The right lower has started coming in, but is still putting some pressure on the teeth in front. For the last two years, I have undergone orthodontic treatment, which included 9 months of Invisalign that moved the upper wisdom teeth. I will be having the right sides extracted on Tuesday, and the other two later. Do my symptoms seem to be related to my wisdom teeth? Most of the issues didn't exist until the impacted teeth started moving. I had my uppers for around a year before most of the symptoms started, although I do think my sinus issues did start when they broke through.

Sounds exactly like what I went through/am still going through a little. I remember very subtle symptoms showing themselves over some months, then one night, BAM, they all hit overdrive and I felt like death and was riddled with anxiety and confusion as to why I felt so unwell all of a sudden, which led to panic attacks and depression. Like I said in my post earlier, getting the teeth out definitely did help some, so yes, definitely have them removed yourself. The headaches, dizziness and fatigue seem to be getting less frequent and certainly less severe. I'm still only 50% healed I think, so I see much more room for improvement still! I honestly believe that all of us in this thread and who have these weird mystery illnesses have some kind of underlying anxiety/panic issue we don't know about or aren't willing to accept, and this period of bad health and state of mind due to the teeth and possibly a bad time in one's life has really caused said issues to hit a climax, so to speak.

Make sure you all do the sinus rinses! Google it and find out how to if you don't know - it's so easy and it provided/provides me with massive relief from the headaches and 'stuffy head and ears' feeling.

These teeth, or the roots that may be embedded in your sinus cavity, seem to cause havoc in the sinuses, which only adds to the head pressure and other symptoms.

I think you are right about the underlying anxiety issues, I had mild anxiety as a child, I thought I overcame it in my late teens but this has brought it back to the surface big time. Rplamer how frequent were your headaches? I seem to be getting them every day now, it started slowly - one or two a week then every other day.

Yep, same, along with ADD, which I spent years on Dextroamphetamine and Ritalin for... Apparently recent studies have revealed that's a likely cause for anxiety and depression in later life.

My headaches were constant. It was a pressure like feeling as if my brain was too big for my head or something and it went for AGES and varied in intensity. Moments of panic greatly increased the pressure feeling and I went to ER once cause I actually thought I had a tumour or my skull was gonna crack open!!

Try to relax and know it isn't life threatening. Do the sinus rinses, they help a lot too. I believe a lot of it is tension headaches from stress on the jaw and the anxiety. The anxiety part of the headache can be helped by, as I said before, relaxing.

I still get them every second day, but it's for like an hour or so and they're not so bad now. Painkillers do nothing, but Sudafed or Nurofen Cold and Flu and some Ibuprofen seems to work a little.

The best remedy I've found for me is simply go into the bathroom and flush my sinuses with this little Sinu-Rinse bottle I bought from the chemist, then just try to relax and take my mind off it, then it's totally gone or barely noticeable before I know it.

Rpalmer, out of curiousity have you ever considered nutrition for these symptoms? I've read that many named disorders, add, anxiety, fatigue, are spiked due of inflammation in the body, one which possibly being wisdom teeth, another major one being the food one eats.

I have, but haven't gotten round to trying it to see if it helps any. Admittedly, I do snack on 'c**p' a little, but I believe I eat okay.

Went to my doctor and had everything checked out, for my piece of mind. Mainly because my anxiety shot through the roof a few days ago, strangley after buying a Blu e-cig and using it for awhile it sent me into anxiety like never before.

Blood work came back good, EKG was good. Ears and Sinuses not so much, had fluid built up in my ears and have nasal polyps. Waiting to hear back results from ultra sound on heart. rpalmer92, I made an account just waiting on the email :)

Very interesting!!
I think having bad sinuse, deviated septum, nasal polyps etc then inhaling smoke or having allergies that cause excess mucus will then cause really bas congestion, which really causes, if not, at least adds to these headaches and dizziness etc.

How did you get your sinuses checked? CAT scan? I've got one this afternoon. Eager to get the results.

Oh and what do you mean you're waiting on the email?
