Hello, I'm about to be 16 soon. Overall I'm a really healthy and active girl. So I got the stomach flu in early April, and it lasted for a good week or two. I didnt throw up, I just had terrible nausea (I have a fear of throwing up or anything to do with vomit). And it is now almost June. I have had nausea  and tummy aches since then. It's weird because the nausea comes and goes, and some days I will feel 100% normal and other days I will feel so horrible like I was going to throw up. My stomach feels bloated, and it aches really badly. I am not pregnant, I didnt have sex. Except I missed my period 2 days ago, but that's normal for someone my age to do. I do have cramps, that feel like period cramps but I'm not for sure if thats what they are, and I have had them the past 2 days. I want to blame my nausea and stomach ache on my period coming, but Im not so sure, since this has been going on for almost 2 months now. I've been to the doctor twice, they thought it was lactose problems, so I stopped diary for 2 weeks and nothing changed. They drew blood, and everything was negative. My doctor thinks its a virus, but I've never heard of one that comes and goes and lasts for months! I really need help, I'm really scared that I'm gonig have cancer or something horrible like that, and this is ruining my life. Especially with summer coming, I want to be carefree again, someone please give me some ideas. Thank you, and Bless you all.  :-D
I also don't think that the virus is responsible for all this, simply because it lasts this long. However, there is a bacteria, H. pylori, that most people have, usually with no symptoms at all. But sometimes, like when you had stomach flu and your immune system was down, this bacteria can start to cause symptoms like nausea, felling of fullness and pain in stomach and bloating. The good thing is that it is absolutely treatable with antibiotics, but doctors need to test you for it first.

Thank you for replying. How would they test me for h. Pylori?

There are several ways to test, from a blood test that has to be specifically targeted to look for this bacteria, to a so called "breath test" or a stool sample test. The most important thing here is that you request that you are tested for H. pylori.
