ok so my friend has been having pain on one side of her neck and it hurts to touch and turn her head and it hurts to swallow she hasnt been feeling to well lately what could it be?
Tonsillitis often effects one side of the throat. If you open your mouth in front of the mirror, you can clearly see if you tonsils are swollen and red. You may even see white dots on them. Another thing this could be is mumps. This would depend on other simptoms and the age of the patient. Swelling in mumps starts at the back of the ear and goes down the neck. Both come with very high temperatures.
