hello
i am a 30 year old woman and the past month i've been feeling lousy after i eat and the past 4 days i've been having intense stomach flu like pains so after brunch yesterday i tried to have a nap and had the most excruciating pain EVER so i went to emergency (aug 26/06). after tons of tests, blood work, #1 and #2 tests, and an ultrasound they told me i have an inflamed gall bladder and it's pretty serious, i might have to have surgery and have it removed. after the ultrasound i went back down to emergency and they hooked up me to the IV and i got 3 different medications and morphine to help the pain. so at 2am last night we got home and now i'm resting. but in two weeks i have to go see the general surgeon and see if i'll need surgery or not. so in the mean time i have to eat like a bird and watch the trigger foods that affect my stomach pain.
after reading a lot of your stories about your experiences with your gallbladder removed i am scared! should i just eat healthier and try to treat it on my own? do i really need the surgery?
today i ate sugar free jello, boiled eggs, and some crackers. i still have the intense pain.
suggestions?
