I suffer from this leg sweating almost every night also. Two common threads I have found reading these posts is antidepressants and surgery. I had an ack reconstruction and shortly after noticed this happening frequently. I was already taking antidepressants and can't trace whether this also coincided with that.

I have been suffering again from the thighs down for the last 12 months. I drink most days and don't take meds.

I believe what is happening is that the body is trying to sweat out all the toxins, alcohol and medication as it is having a reaction to it. I too wake up with soaked bedsheets.

To understand how it can be is when I fall asleep in a state of unconscious sleep this is when I will sweat from my legs and wake up very uncomfortable and the legs are wet.

It is best to try and keep hydrated, no alcohol or meds to see of this will work. The body seems to try and get rid of anything unwanted. This may be considered a healthy sign if you aren't passing urine, sweating from exercise or pooping regularly.

Thought it might be related to melatonin I take sometimes to aid with sleep.

I am 29 years old and taking Prozac for the last 5 months and recently just upped my dosage, since starting Prozac I have been experiencing the same thing. Waking up in the middle of the night with sweaty thighs and damp sheets, after doing some research I think it’s caused by the Prozac. Maybe we need to switch Meds??

I'm a 20 year old nighttime alcoholic, and I get the leg sweats when I drink less than usual. My legs get warmer than usual and start sweating like crazy, while my upper body does not seem to be affected. My feet turn even hotter than my legs, to the point where they are hot to the touch. I also take melatonin every night before going to sleep.

I too have this issue with night sweats in the region of legs/lower body. I am 36 and it happens about 3 times a week. I do not understand what the difference is one night from the next. Plus I am not on any medications. I wish I could find the reason because it is very uncomfortable for me.

I believe I've had the same cramps, very deep and radiating, which for me come in waves of intensity. However, I have just recently begun the night sweats from the leg - from the appearance of the sheets down to the ankle. Have you found any information or medical advice?

If you have anything going on in your health that is out of the ordinary and Doctors aren't familiar with it, 99.9% wont even try to find out what it is. Doctors are to arrogant to admit they don't know something. And even more then that if you think a Physician gets into medicine to cure people your so very wrong. Its money and prestige (in that order) I promise with everything that I am. I've worked with Doctors for over 30 years. These are the ONLY things that matter to them I've seen it for most of my life. Heres proof: if you run into your Doctor in a public place ask them your name. They will more then likely know what insurance you carry. This is an honest to God on my children fact. They dont give 2 shi## if you live or die. Wait they would care because your insurance company isnt paying anymore. They DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOU I promise.
