No sensation (numbness?) in one side of throat.

I feel exactly the same, my right side is the affected one as well. I had the camera in my nose and they saw nothing. I have been diagnosed anxiety and told it could be some muscular tension... Not very convinced with that though!

i had the exact symptoms and it turned out to be tmj the butterfly shaped gland in my neck was out of place due to dental treatment going wrong gave me a misaligned bite causing numbness and jaw pain along with neck and throat numbness

when you say butterfly gland in neck are you referring to thyroid? How were you diagnosed?

Gaz me too. Numb feeling, dry throat. Sometimes face feels sore. All one sided.

I have had the same symptoms now for 3-4 weeks. They came on after I through up. I’m not sure what it is either. It’s amazing that so many people have the same problem.

How did you get your diagnosis in the end? What were they able to do for you? I’m hving the same symptoms as the original poster, which is also causing me difficulty swallowing food. Thanks.

Me too. Any resolution? I’m having MRI tomorrow but I’ve already had scope and CT scan. Nothing found

hello, I am the person u responded to. No. I feel the same. Sometimes I think its bad TMJ but its only one side. This is horrible. Im concerned its a deep lobe parotid tumor but ENT says it wouldve showed up. Did you get MRI? how are you feeling? hope u get a resolution...

I’m 17 I’ve been experiencing problems for a long time and now I fear it’s getting worse. Now as I type the back of my tongue and right side of my throat feel numb also my ears feel open and hurt and they switche throughout the day. I have Acud reflux and I have a bad adnal pad. I took Amoxicillin and clavulate potassium tablets given to me by my ENT which helped my swollen annal and my inflamed esophagul lining but I’ve been on and off Reflux medicine for awhile. I was given omeprazole and they even upped the dosage because it didn’t help my reflux. As that was going on I was experiencing ear problems I thought it was an infection but it switches between my ears I experience ear aches and pain and fullness and it’s different everyday I have allergies and my nose runs clear liquid my throat feels like it’s a lump or bone out of place and my ears are wacky once one is wacky the other 2 start going haywire one time I thought my throat was going to close so I had to do excercises before I went to the emergency room I’ve been on medication for a long time and I have constant pain and irritation my ENT doesn’t know what I have I don’t have a diagnosis I had 2 doctors stick a camera up my nose and into my throat and look at my ears I had my ears flushed I was given medical drops nostril spray reflux medicine and antibiotics to help but nothing helped and I’ve been off meds for probably a month or so and I hate it every single day my throat and ears are constantly blocked my nose is running and it’s nothing but pain and fullness my ENT and her second opinion said I could have a Cyst the reflux could be a reason or what I believe is eustachian tube disfunction maybe because my earwax is now a light brown it’s flaky then runny always runny but when I clean them I find flakes my nose is constantly running my throat feels weird all 3 are attacking me and I feel like one problem is making them all go out of wack my throat always feels swollen but both ENTs says my throat feels and looks normal I never got a Cat scan I was scheduled for one with contrast but insurance is a problem and I know that something is wrong and one day I may be in public and pass out or my throat may go out of wack right now I can’t make certain sounds with my throat anymore and I’m a singer too sooo it’s scary knowing this can easily affect my voice my throat is inflamed or dry or swollen or all three it changes everyday some foods I eat are scary to eat too because 3 weeks ago I ate peanut butter and my throat was swollen and now today I ate peanut butter and I’m fine but i don’t know if it is the cause because a couple days ago I ate snickers ice cream it may be peanut butter but I don’t know I’ve eaten peanut butter all my life i have so many problems and I have no answers my regular doctor retired and I wish he didn’t but now my new regular doctor doesn’t listen and I’ve been struggling with this all year and it attacks at night my ears are cracking and popping and sometimes they ring and loud sounds hurt sometimes and I wear earphones not to only listen to music but to omit the louder sounds I have environmental allergies I know of but my ENT found out from my swollen pharyngeal tonsil that was helped with the potassium tablets she gave that I should also see an allergist because I clearly have an allergy she doesn’t know from what though they said they are on the fence and the CAT scan will maybe help me in my future I also have abnormal tissue or what they call an adnormally shaped adnal tonsil in my nose they said that may need to get surgically worked on and it might be a cause but they have no answers which worries me and I go through this everyday I’ve been sick for this whole year and I just recently found out about the reflux this year and I’ve had it for a long time I just didn’t understand it and was t given anything to stop it the pain is not good and everytime I go to the doctors I get no answers the farthest was the ENT who helped but if there is anyone out there who experience ear nose and throat problems all at once share your symptoms because I neee a diagnosis or something that can open the doctors eyes because I can’t take it anymore I hope what I have isn’t a horrible sickness or illness because I still haven’t gotten used to it

I have all same issues, they came on about a year ago, one day after a steroid shot and a weekend of regurgitating food(chick fil a) followed by trouble swallowing, numbness in throat and chest all on left side, some ear aches and head aches in back of head near cyst that appeared, it flares regularly and causes anxiety, trouble with breathing, eyesight has always been 20/20, now trouble with vision, all tests clear so far, I have had trouble with jaw in past on that side and have psoriatic. arthritis and gerd but this happened suddenly, at a loss at this point for sure but still testing
