I had a fall when stepping into a hole in cement landing hard on my right side 2 yrs ago. Since then I have had mild numbness in my lips, tongue and part of right side of face and ear. Now this summer I started having numbness on right side of whole neck and front of throat. I did barium swallows, had MRI of brain, CT of my face/head/throat areas and endoscopy with esophageal stretching with testing of tissue and all was normal. I have had severe acid reflux for probably 20 years and take pantoprazole for it. My ENT has put a tube down my throat with cameras and says everything looks good. My swallowing test with barium swallow was normal.
I have had MRI to neck was normal but some C5 radicular symptoms are mild. I would like to find out what is causing the front of my neck (back of neck is fine), lips and tongue numb. No one can figure it out. I have had the lips and tongue numb for 2 years and the neck is new starting 2 months ago. Otherwise I am in good health and workout 3-5 times a week and my weight is in normal range.

Same! Does anyone else have any cervical bulges, vertigo, old head injuries, fibromyalgia or seizure disorder? I had a head injury in '87 in a car accident as a child which resulted in a manageable seizure disorder. Around 2014 I developed all over body pain that lasted 2 years and was told I had Fibromyalgia.
around the same time the pain stopped in 2016, I cracked my neck really hard bc I have some bulging discs in the neck. I felt like that was when the numbness started in the back right side of the throat. The sensation has never come back and occasionally I have to take deep breaths. I have been to neurologists, rheumatologists, ENTswith many tests but no definitive answers. I see another neurologist tomorrow at UCLA. The numbness feels like "phantom" numbness/paralysis on the upper back right side of throat. Can't really feel hot/cold or taste when eating. Can't tell if it has progressed since 2016 because it's always there and bothers me sometimes more than others. WIll keep you posted

I’m 22 M I have very similar symptoms for about 2 years now I’ve taken antibiotics so many times, had my tonsils removed, seen 3 different doctors and just had a ultrasound on my neck and they found nothing. I would give my left nut to feel normal again. Please anybody with answers or a diagnosis reply

Could be a nervous system issue caused by a fatty liver. Sometimes the brain can be affected when the liver cannot filter toxins properly. Get your liver checked or do a Liver and Gallbladder Flush. See if that helps.
